For example, there are groups that make excuses for perpetrators of violence (he was a victim of a feminist-hijacked family court), use abusive strategies (defamation), and harrass women. They lobby for laws, sue domestic violence shelters, trivialize domestic violence among other things. What can be done about it?

Have you seen sites such as thisisawar.com, dontmakehermad.com. Heard of radar, blackshirts, father's manifesto? We hear of false allegations, but how about the women who do not report rape (few do) or don't press charges against their husbands? I'm against false allegations, too because it harms the true cases. These groups strive to damage the protection that has been fought for since only the 70s.

First off you can make so the laws are not sexist against men. Then you can fight to make perjury in family law a crime punishable by loss of children and jail time.
You can then fight to have women guilty of false rape claims thrown in jail for the average length of time a man would get for jail.
You can also do the same for domestic violence fraud. Domestic violence should have some form of evidence attached instead of handing out DVO like serial packets from your local quicky mart.
After you get rid of all the incentives for women to lie and get praised by the law to lie, then there will only be room for the true victims and men will do everything to help or do nothing but they certainly would not hinder.

They fight to rid the sysematic abuse of men through these laws via lies. Fix that and you have yourself a system that will work to a better beat.

What we can do is take a stand. We (as victims) need to learn to not be afraid and satnd up for our rights. We especially need to stand up for our children's rights. I am a victim of these fr's and worse than that, my child is also a victim. her father stalks me, has committed severe dv against me, degrades me to our child every chance he gets. She catches him in these lies so I know soon enough she will be old enough to say enough is enough and stop his lies.
We need to start being smart, stop the emotions (very hard to do as we are females and typically we are the emotional creatures in our society) and do what they do. Contact those who can make a change. Get new laws on the books. Strengthen the laws already there. Contact the press when we see a celebrity who uses bogus syndromes to remove children from a protective parent.
Sitting and asking why solves nothing. become active in your community and state level poiltics. It is hard to do but it must be done to make changes.

To my horror, I've pondered these things for awhile. I'm still at a loss for this one. If there is a chance for a man to be wrongfully charged and convicted or a woman who finally made a move in the right direction only to find more despair, then, oh man I gave myself a headache.
lol on this really tough question.

It is often the tactic of the bullies to present themselves as victims. There are men who feel they have a 'God' given right to control and inflict violence on their female partners and children. The bottom line is violence is never justified in a relationship there is no excuse, none whatsoever. The only justification for violence is self defense. Anything else is just obfuscation and no excuse for it should be accepted...she nagged..she cheated ...she was .......whatever is not an excuse. Violence is a crime and should be treated as such and the victim should be given all the support and protection she or he needs. The perpetrator should be dealt with with the full force of the law and if necessary given psychiatric help.

The same thing that should be done with women's groups that like to blame men for everything--disband them.
What are you going to do with some feminists' attitude that all consensual sex is rape (I'm looking at YOU, Catherine MacKinnon)?
Maybe men are sick and tired of being falsely accused every time they turn around twice. It's no wonder more men are opting to stay bachelors.

oh, yeah!!! I know exactly what you are talking about!!! There was a support group for father's without custody of their children. It turned out to be a bunch of men who hated the social services aimed to address domestic violence, sexual assault, etc. Those men were crazy. There's nothing that can be though. They've a legal right, in the US anyhow, to assemble and try to change laws, etc. But if enough complaints are filed when they violate others' rights, when they harrass others, perhaps the crazies will get locked up where they belong. They're just angry and they're not taking responsibility for their own actions. It's so much easier to consider themselves to be victims of their community.

Bring them and what they are doing out into the open and show them for what they are just like you are doing here.
If more people are told about this behaviour and know what to recognise than they can't just get away with it and it goes a long way to stoping them.
They have no shame but they know that being exposed will hurt them. Some people have no conscience and the only thing they can understand is that actions have consequences.
Edit that is Not Rio above me just a clone. Yet another example of losers with no life. Reported.

So you are denying the abuse of laws that do not require any proove, the biased courts and functionaires at shelters that help women to decieve although women confided in the functionaries that their man did no wrong ?
Also you are lying, those groups do not justify violence, they merely voice against laws that are used to abuse men who did no wrong, like vawa.
Are you objects of its ire ?

You're just providing them with evidence that feminists are behind the bias in the current domestic violence law. You need to make the domestic violence laws more fair and gender inclusive.

Stop acting like women can do no wrong. I don't think men's groups trivialize anything. They're pointing out that some men are falsely accused.
Whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?
