GROUNDBREAKING STUDY SHOWS NEED FOR UNBIASED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES
http://www.heritagenewmedia.com/mrosenthal031307.htm

The study describes 190 male callers to a domestic violence hotline, men from all walks of life who found that resources for males seeking help with an abusive female partner are virtually nonexistent. It appears to be common for abusive wives to use controlling behaviors, and they are especially prone to using their children as pawns to control their husbands. And federally funded shelters and hotlines commonly deny services to men.

The study is here:

Includes cases such as:

“She stabbed me with a knife, and I didn’t even defend
myself, and after I got out of the hospital two weeks
later, the court tells me to go to a group they say is for
victims. It turns out to be for batterers and I am expected
to admit to being an abuser and talk about what I did to
deserve getting stabbed.”

I want to find a poem that deals with gender, I just thought feminist poems might narrow it down. Links would be great if possible.

VALENTINES DAY HOLIDAY STATISTICS
http://www.aboutflowers.com/press_b3b.html

For whom are they buying?

Men:

84% wife/significant other
4% Friend
4% Other

Women:

32% Mother
24% Signficant Other
22% Self

Notice how significant other is vastly above every other category for men and signficant other is only marginally above themselves for women..

And why are so many just buying flowers for themselves any way? Is this some sort of "romance masturbation" for lonely women? Why do they do it?

I need to know when males and females could get the inheritance of their families...

...Females are more sensitive, males also they just don't show it. So if females cry and talk with their friends they will get over it sooner, while males after a break up they take action go out with friends, find another sweetheart but they don't face with the fact that they are not anymore with someone that they used to love.

I read this in a magazine, and I'm not trying to take sides...I just want opinions from both sides.

thank you.

Most intellecutual and educated females are single. And man run away from that kind of secure type of females...and then say that they are complicated and can't deal with them. Do you agree?

There are some areas in the Equality For The Sexes Thing that some men may not be happy with.

Which may be or is not wrong.

And what is wrong with, in a marriage, a couple being committed and submitted to each other?

Which may not cater exactly to Equality For The Sexes.

I'm a guy that reads this area a lot, and despite some absolute sweethearts (baba yaga comes to mind) I do love woman.

I think guys in here need to wake up. Most woman in this forum are not man haters, never mind in the real world. Guys shouldn't change or worry about what some nut job woman's studies professor says or thinks.

Guys, just treat woman right and have fun with them, it's that simple. If you are on a date with a woman and open a door for her and her response is "I can do it myself thank you very much" with an attitude, don't let it get to you, find a few girl.

This is a question about what you love about woman, in a relationship based on respect and equality, where it is not a crime for women to do something nice for her man and vice versa. No power struggles.

Mine
When they say or do something cute.
Holding them close to you
Just spending time with them
When they surprise you with something nice
When they talk about something girly (cloths, shopping, hairstyles ect

I am going to generalize so please correct me if I am wrong.

There are two ways to receive validation, through achievement and through relationships.
Men receive most of their validation through achievement.
Women receive most of their validation through relationships.

Correct? If not, then that means that one obtains their validation through themselves only, which seems completely unhealthy to me. If you believe in this case then can you PLEASE explain to me HOW living only for yourself can be considered healthy?

But if my generalization is true, then please explain how someone who needs other people for validation can call herself independent.

I have a friend who is dealing with two girls who don't like her. She does not speak to them, and they don't talk to her. They give her evil looks, and try to make her look bad. They work at the same place she does, but they have a higher job than she does.

I believe all women should have control over their own reproduction - it doesn't mean that I am pro-abortion - I am a man who thinks a woman should control her own body and the choices she makes. It should not be so political - it should be a personal decision between a woman and her Doctor.
