When you(women)/ or your (men) daughter got her first period, did you "celebrate" with your dad or daughter?

Like for instance, my mother took me out to eat and let me drink a glass of red wine the day I got mine, (my dad lived across country when I was growing up so he couldn't be there) and I've heard similar stories from other women about their own mothers.

But I don't think I've ever heard of a man taking out his daughter, or celebrating together as a family, usually just mother-daughter or possibly with other female relatives.

Curious if this ever happens.

explain what do you like in your real relationships from your partner..what are your expectations? how does he/ she make you feel secureI need details..I need to know what does a healthy, and real relationship look like.

I have this dream occasionally. Last summer I even had it as I was backpacking across Europe.
It starts with me walking alone in a dark wooded area. I'm just walking forward I can't see my body or hear my footsteps ... I'm just walking.
Suddenly the area opens up to a crystal clear moonlight lake. I walk to the edge of the lake and look down. I see the face of a silver wolf with blue eyes staring back at me. When I move my head it moves it. I realize I am the wolf.
I turn around and start to run down back into the wooded area, I race along for a few minutes and then hear someting behind me. I turn my head and see a black wolf with green eyes. He starts to run beside me and we take off into the woods. We soon come to a area with hundreds of wolves. They surrond us and come forward and nuzzle me. Slowly then one by one they all leave even the black one. I'm alone now again, and sad. I walk off into the woods alone and stare up at the moon.

In my dream, me and my boyfriend were walking on a beach. I've never been to this beach before. Then I see these sail boats in the distances--that were the sailboats I sailed this summer. I run over to see the boats (which have docked on the shore) and see all of my friends from sailing class. My boyfriend and I board the boat, and they sail me to a beach I used to go to a long time ago. My boyfriend is annoyed that they did not drop us off at the beach we were at earlier. At the beach i used to visit, i expect to see it all beautiful. But the beach is covered with these ugly, odd, huge, dirty black birds. Among the birds, there is a giant scorpion on a huge rock fighting the birds off. My boyfriend gets annoyed with me, and while I am trying to figure away to cross the beach, I see him walking in the sunlight, holding hands with this girl I dislike. then I wake up? What is the meaning of this odd dream?

Am i burned out??? i used to study alot ... (i am a premed junior honor student) well this semester i have not been doing as well. I had to Q drop a class for first time.. I have a hard time trying to read a chapter ( takes me 10 hours vs the usual 4) umm i have a hard time trying to get myself to study. I find little things like very hard and seem very tiring when they are small. I feel sad most of the time.. my selfesteem is very low . What do i do to fix myself ... oh yes and i have been forgetting things that i know well for example the apartment that i live in .. a movie i watched 2 weeks ago .. My bf of several years constantly gets depressed. He says that he hates people and if he was given a choice he wouldn't be living. That this life is not worth living. That as time passes he cares less and less about everything. That the only way he has discovered he can be happy, is to imagine the world is like he would like it to be. That he gets so carried away with it that he feels he will eventually make the imagining part a priority, and screw up everything in the real world. He says it's cool 'cause he can 'fly' without having to use drugs or alcohol. And that it's ok cause the point of life is to be happy, right? So it doesn't matter if it sounds crazy. That he doesn't want to have kids, what for?
Then, later, he says he cares about me, that he wants to live with me, and that we should be having a kid soon, before we get too old and end up looking like the kid's grandparents (we're both mid 20's). Gets upset cause i don't jump in saying i'd love to.

OK contemplate this, "fallen angels" are aliens....."chariots from the sky" are UFO's!

when an angel/alien came to mary and made her pregnant it abducted her and artificially inseminated her....thus jesus was a hybrid!

this info has been kept secret from us by the Government because it is so terrorfying to us

bare in mind that the universe is 14.7 billion years old and there are around 127 million galaxies in it with billions of stars in EACH galaxy, chances are that there are intelligant life forms out there

we have been on earth for around a tiny 200,000 years and have already been to space!

Last week I had a dream that my brother died of a drug overdose, we aren't very close and that i know of he doesn't do drugs. Then a couple of days ago i had a dream that my uncle tried to commit suicide, but he didn't die. Can someone please give me input on what this means.

Hello,
i am in need of urgent adivce.My life has been stalled.There is nothing i can do to keeo myself happy other than just few useless things such as comp games etc.I am an Msc student but my mindset has terribly affected my results for first smester.
Even if i try to make a to do list & try doing things even then i become demotivaterd very quickly & when that happens i just cant fight with myself.
look like i am wrong from top to bottom.I havnt got enough friends & those i have i dont talk to them no more.
i am always depressed without any specific reson.my confidence level is extremly low & my state of living is very poor just because of all this.
Please advice

Ok, so my parents are into unique art. So they were the 3rd people to buy this really unique, 1,000 lb wooden clock. Everyone who has bought this clock has had trouble getting it to work. So the guy who designed the clock made a video and he said if you have any problems, please send the clock back to me and i'll see what I can do. It still wasn't working for us, so my parents paid over $300 to send the dang thing back. We let the guy know in advance that we were sending it, and he said that was fine. So we sent it across the country, to New York, and he said he would pick it up. Then he just totally stopped talking to us, out of nowhere, and he never picked the clock up. So we paid all that money to buy the clock and send it and he never picked it up. What are we supposed to do? We can't afford to keep trying to send it back!!! HELP!

Someone in my family is this way. She's nice and supportive but she's also a negative person, depressing, lazy, somewhat selfish (albeit of a subtle way) among other negativity. She brings people down. The look on her face sometimes makes you want to jump off a bridge and she's also one of the most passive aggressive people in the world. How do I deal with this besides drinking? :)

Working at life, but missed the meeting about the meaning

But nothing I’m seeing suggest any purpose to this being
An unevenly contested existence we never even requested
The researcher is incompetent if we are being tested
We’re orphans of the universe, if God created then left it
If life’s not worth it, I may revert to my death wish
