Is it possible to wake up and be dead?

Yes, but only if your brain had enough residual oxygen to sustain conciousness. Though it wouldn't last for more than a few seconds!

Of course. I believe there is life after death. Death is just the separation of body and spirit. The body is declared dead and the spirit lives on. If one dies while asleep, then the spirit would awaken "dead", or separated from the body.

possibly kinda but not really i once heard that if you get you head chopped off your brain which is you is still alive for a very short time i concider head detached from body dead and if someone did it while you were sleeping?? who knows these days
