On average, men like to spend a lot of money or upgrading their cars..I am guessing that women spend most of their money on make up and hand bags? Am I right?

(first of all - please excuse my english)
Once I had a dream in witch some dogs were running after me.I was running on some streets and there was blood on those streets. I was very afraid, but suddenly the dogs dissapared and in front of me was Jesus and there was a wall of glass and beyound that glass was a wonderful violet athmosphere, but in the wall of glass was only a little hole and next to hole was a big black scareing dog.
Jesus said to me to go through that hole and he told me that the name of that dog was Violet, but I was afraid of dogs.
I don't know if I could pass through because I waked up.
I've always felt that this dream was important for me,but what do you think it means?

I am asking this because lately I have been so feeling so overwhelmed with depression and my lack of motivation for anything, that I don't even bother going to school anymore, even though I am supposed to graduate this year.
(and from college too)

and my parents keep screaming at me for being a failure and messing up my life and they insist that I get a job at least if I am not going to go to school anymore.
This just adds to my stress.

I know that I want to end this pain and do something with my life but how can I if I can't even get out of my bed in the morning and I don't have any emotional support from anybody..??
I don't have any friends either.

I want to get help but how can I if nobody understands ??

If feminists are truly about "equality", how come they wrote so kindly about a complete sexist bigot like Dworkin when she died:

It really makes a person wonder.

I had a very strange dream, in the dream I begin by looking out my window but on my window are these big black beetles and they larger then normal. I get scared and leave my room then when I leave my room and go into the hall a brownish bat comes down, bites me, and I faint. My brother picks me up and lays me on the bed. My mom and him stand beside the bed and wait till I wake. And then I wake up from the dream.

Oh and I haven't seen anything scary (ie movies etc) its such a random dream.

Most women I meet say they want equality in a relationship. I always tell them I want a housewife. This rarely scares them away.. why? These "tough girls" turn into girly-girls very quicky when I lay down the law.

There is no such thing as an equal 50/50 relationship with equal sharing and careing. Every woman I date I dominate. She does what I want and if she doesn't she gets the boot. Thats it.

I was in a restaurant, and suddenly some guy at my school that I sometimes talk to, pulled me into the bathroom with my crush, and i asked her out, and she said no.

I've been confused as to wether or not to ask her out, because I dont know if she has a boyfriend, or if she even likes me. Does this dream mean that I shouldnt ask her out?

i want to ask something very personal.. i was booked in to have an abortion last year but i ended up having a miscarriage on my own in a toilet.. at the time i was numb but now.. nearly a year on things have begun to fall apart. I cry at the drop of a hat, i am paranoid and think people dont like me when my bf tells me i am being paranoid and they do,. i have no confidence in anything i do and it means i dont really have anyone close to me at the moment because i have started a new uni and dont have the confidence to be out going i just think i am fat and ugly and not cool or interesting. i even cut my arms the other day because i was crying .. small things can set me off and make me feel like an outsider or left out from group things...

i just want to know.. is this depression or just being a bit down?is it a mind over matter thing or not

i cant go on like this i miss having close friends :(

i dont want to talk to my dr, she is anti abortion and makes it clear!any advice?

I've always tried to be the kind of person who does really well in school/college, has time to spend with family and friends, works part-time, and still manages to help people by doing volunteer work.

So far I have not succeeded.
If I get a job, my marks suffer... if go out with friends or family, I have no time for this and that.... how do you get out of this constant stuggle?

why do some women prefer to date married men and be a home wrecker? I am just wondering because these men are never going to leave there wives so there isnt much commitment there but these "other women" seem to think the man will leave his wife for her and then in the off chance that he does leave his wife the "other" woman no longer wants to be with the man now that he is no longer married. someone please explain this to me? is it just the thrill of the chase or what that makes some single women only date married men?

Ok, I'd love to know what people make of this dream I had a couple of years ago!
It started in my school canteen. I was with friends when suddenly giant spider started coming out of the ground so we had to leave the room. Then the dream changed and I was able to return to the canteen. Inside there was someone serving curries. Without realising, I was in the queue to get one and my friend was sat down. When I got to the front of the queue the woman asked what I wanted. The friend who was sat down shouted out that I wanted everything so the woman wrapped a bit of everything up and told me to give it to my friend who had shouted. In the canteen was a sign saying "(some name) you and your family must go to the dentist". A group of people walked in who somehow I knew were the family who went to the dentist. My friend said "there are a lot of you" are began to hit one of them on the head!
Weird dream, I know.

I often get frustrated in GWS, reading the crap that people ask and respond. As, I'm sure, many of you (both feminists and non/anti feminists) do as well.

So I thought...wouldn't it be wonderful if we could nominate one from each side...someone who sticks to the subject matter, without throwing in side jabs and immature comments. Then, we could post questions of a political or socially relevant nature, and have the representative from each side respond. I'm hoping that each side would choose a respectful and thoughtful representative...someone who is well versed in the views of 'their side', and someone who will maintain a focus on the subject at hand. It would be a true testament to the discussion of feminism...wouldn't it?
