If feminists are truly about "equality", how come they wrote so kindly about a complete sexist bigot like Dworkin when she died:

It really makes a person wonder.

The link I posted was from a popular feminist blog. The posters there were speaking about her with respect and remembering her as an important feminist.

Is that how feminists "distance themselves" from her?

...Because a sexist bigot should have NO PART in a movement about "equality."

I don't care if she had a "few good points."

I'm sure Adolf Hitler had a "few good points" in his life, but that a$$hole got the shunning he deserved from anyone with half a brain.

If feminists do not publicly denounce her and do so without a "yea, but she was sometimes right about..." then do not be surprised when people think feminists are anti-male.

Actually, most feminists don't revere Andrea Dworkin. We acknowledge that she made a few good points in her career, but we tend to distance ourselves from her.

I have respect for the dead.

but it makes no difference to me who she was really. I did not know of her till I got on answers...and I see no reason for me to mourn her death.

Besides...feminist though she may be...and I also...my views and her views differ greatly.

I have no use for Dworkin. She has done more damage to the feminism movement than any other radical feminist in my opinion.

i'm a feminist and i do not revere her. i think that she was a freak of nature and did not help the cause out one bit. please do not generalize all feminists, we are all different. the feminist women i know do NOT repsect her or think she was right.

Take a course. Read a book. Get a clue.

Because feminists are not about equality, only feminine supremacy...and because they are sexist and intolerant.
