I'm always hearing about things that city/county governments want to do because it will "encourage growth", as if this is necessarily a good thing. Is it always desirable for an area to grow? When I see the suburban sprawl in my own area, I find it hard to see how this is necessarily good. I know it's not good for things to get stagnant, but isn't status quo ok sometimes?

I went to our local area Veteran's home with our class to cheer them up, and is it normal for you to be sad when an old man with Alzheimers walks up to and hands you a banana and asks you to take care of it? because it made me sad even though it did not happen to me, but a friend of mine?

In my view..unless it goes overboard that is (i.e War of the Roses) it is healthy to tackle issues instead of pushing them down under the carpets. A reality check which some people just do not want to face...what do you think ? Thanks.

Is he? Claiming to fight for the working man yet think about it. Lot of labor jobs dont exactly have areas of advancement so for the car assembler or truck driver where is their future? Especially when it comes to the american dream & retirement & health care or insurance when older & not working. If someone else wants to do a deadend job so be it especially for a lower wage that's their choice to do but that seems like it would hurt the economy & deficit more than trade. I mean look at the lay offs in Detriot. The most one would get for retirement is like a couple hundred thousand dollars which if you are young say under 45 might be ok. You might be able to learn or get a job somewhere else & hopefully invest wisely. But certainly if you are over that mark & been there 15 20 years it doesnt seem really possible to live the rest of your life on that. I mean most "experts" claim that now aday's you need to have like $3 million by retirement. $300k vs $3 million. That & taxes drain.

Lately I've been feeling depressed and sometimes even suicidal. How do I tell someone that I need help? Most, pretty much all, of my loved ones have no idea this is going on. What do I do? How do I bring it up in a coversation?

This isnt the first time I've felt this way. I used to self mutilate but havent done so in over a year. Im scared my thoughts and feeling will take over my common sence. Some please help.

Then why does it appear that SOME of you, whose judgments , prejudice, for reasons of your own, NOT MINE. Don't attempt an answer to me, perhaps according to what erroneous, ignorant judgment you've formed in your minds towards me?
I compliment and remain grateful TO So many folks that outnumber the few with quick trigger judgment - thus, retaining a fairer quality in answering a non-threatening concern or question of mine!
I'll not forget who they are, and truly thankfully!
But WHAT, in INTELLIGENT terms, not ignorance or vulgarly wielded criticism, for its' own sake, HAVE I EVER DONE TO YOU?

The TRUTH?

Is it then, projection of your unfortunate mental states, which appears to have much to learn, that would rather ignore my questions, or cast stones at them, while within the safety of anonymity, which compels you to attack me, or ignore me, without firstly having the courage to BETTER know or discover where I'm coming from?
Before answering, Be attentive to your own flaws, please

(I've gotten that Freudian feeling again.) This was around when I was five or six years old, and I'd experience arousal thinking about those nurses who wore skirts not long enough to cover the suspenders of their thigh-high stockings, and, had no need for maximiser bras.

Around what age was your first sexual fantasy and what was it?

Why is it that some people can be so logical in other peoples situations and irrational about them selfs? My girlfriend is always rational and logical in what i should do but, anything with her she will not see reason. I never want her to think i am trying to tell her what to do but, in her life she is irrational. She does or does not do things that will hurt her later. And when I try to explain why she needs to do something she gets angry at me. I do not understand.

In certain situations such as working with my student organization, I view it in a business manner and am comfortable with that and feel confident in leading the organization (I'm president), even though at meetings, we may have no more than 15 people. What are other ways can I up my confidence when talking to just one other person i may want to impress? I take my body language seriously, and try not to touch my face too much when talking to people or be too fidgity. How can I change the way that I think so I'm not as self-concious as usual? I know whenever i'm talking with someone, I'm imagining in the back of my mind how I look, how i sound, if I'm interesting enough, and do I seem as self-assured as the other person? What do you do to fix these things?
