have you ever noticed one of the most famous lines in a relationship is.. "I hope you dont mind the fact that most of my friends are of the opposite sex!"
Why is that? Is it a way for cheaters to have an excuse to hang out with their lovers?,simply cause it realy is easier to make friends with them?, cause we like to be center of attention?
What is your opinion?

What I'm trying to find is the scientific explanation for how people view the world based on their own personal experiences. For example. The glass with the water...is it half-full or half-empty? those who see it as half-full have a tendency of being positive and those who see it as half-empty have a tendency of having a negative outlook on life. Can this be scientifically/ psychologically backed up?

what would the affects be on the general population if their were no books, magizines, television, etc..(for extended period, perhaps a year, starting today) that would give them any feedback as to what the rest of the populace was wearing, eating, doing.etc..

Stop hating people with disabilities such as mental retardation. My mother works with them and tells me stories about them and they so annoying and I can't stand them now. I don't want to hate them, I know it sounds so awful, but I just cannot help it. I know I could have a child like them someday and I would not want them made fun of. What can I do to stop hating them? Should I just tell my mom to stop telling me about them so I don't get annoyed?

No picking a balance of both. Pick one or the other. They are similar in many ways but have distinct differences.

I am going to phrase the question how I intended it to be perceived.

Would you rather have a vast knowledge or an aptitude to maximize use of what knowledge you have.
I believe there is an obvious difference between people who have a large capacity of knowledge and those who are capable of applying it.
