No. It is a common misconception that more money makes you happier. Having lived on both sides of that issue, let me tell you that from my own experience, I was much happier before the money came into play. You see the problem with getting more money is that you want even more money until you are so obsessed with money that you forget to live your life. Then at some point, you turn around, take a look at your life and realize that you traded your dreams for dollars.

I have had more money in the past when I was working. I made a really nice living but I wasn't happy inside. I am now living on disability which is very tough , however as a person I am happier with my life all around. Money can't bring you happiness. It can provide you with an easier life as far as paying bills, being able to do more things and have more things, however, I've also found that "things" can't make you truly happy either. Those things can bring you moments of happiness, but true happiness comes from within and no amount of money can buy that. At least that is what I have learned in my own life.

Feeling happier & being happier has a lot of difference & also, happy & happier too. I would have been happy & in the comfort zone. Yes, moeny is basic requirement, but it cannot buy happiness, relations, love. But money is required in all walks of life, with the money you have never try to put someone down or be too much proud of it. Money has its own place & respect.

Yes. Yes I would be. People say money can't buy happiness, but money can buy things that make you happy so therefore it can. More money means being able to care for the people you love and not having to stress out over debt. And like it or not money can buy you power. It has the power to sway peoples opinion, beliefs, and choices. Money makes the world go round.

I know this makes me sound shallow and superficial and materialistic and cynical, but I'm none of the above. I'm just realistic.

It would depend on how much money. Too much money creates a whole new set of problems that I am ill equipped to handle. But, an amount that would equal perhaps five years' worth of income could definitely make me happier because I could use it to help my family.

All I want is enough to pay my obligations and maybe enough to help someone in need. That is enough for me. I would love to have enough to donate to religious organizations also. There are so many people a lot worse off than We are. some are starving, and living without shelter. I guess we are very rich when you think about it. I am happy just the way I am. I know the Lord will provide. God Be with you.

Absolutely! I would love to be able to pay off my student loans and credit cards, and not worry about my debts anymore. Plus if I had a lot of money I could do things I'd actually enjoy - like travelling or writing a book - instead of working.

Right now, yes I would. I know that money cannot buy happiness, but I have all sorts of deliquent bills, my car is broken down, and I am on the verge of eviction from the place where I live. Sooo, some money now would make me very happy.

YYYEEESSSS!!!!!!!
The money itself does not make you happy, its the opportunities it opens up to you. If i were filthy rich i could go to school for as long as i wanted to become anything i wanted and i could afford a thousand years of college and instead of working at a meaningless job i could research cures to cancer and focus on finding the love of my life and travel to see the beutiful things in the world. And then of course as a bonus i could have a big house and a nice car etc.
