Social Science - 26 February 2007

I don't think you can die in your dreams particulary because you don't know what its like to die unless you have died before which would be impossible. Am I right? And even if you do die in your dream your probably not dead, your just about to die and then you wake up! Can anyone offer some ideas on this?

if i go to a counselor telling him/her about my depression problems and suicide toughts, what do you think the counselor would say?...cause basicaly to me...a counselor is just another person with a job that does his job well..but when he gets home..he just forgets about it..i want a person to remember how i struggled trough life...and im going to tell you off the bat right now...my life is the worst...(you people are going to say..no..its not..you just think it is) NOPE..guess what..it is the worst LIFE ever...and i dont even want to type it how it goes..cause its just very depressing and very violent you just dont understand...now people tell me what you think about this counselor idea...

When you consider such doomed-to-fail schemes as pensions and social security, I always wonder, were the powers that be in the 1930s, 40s, 50s totally ignorant of demographic trends? Did ANYONE ANYWHERE notice that people were living longer? Did anyone have the brains to realize that a higher ratio of old people:young people would make social security a Ponzi scheme?

Just wondering if there were any prescient voices of warning in those days of innocence and stupidity.

...with, but i just feel like im going through the motions with my life when this is the time i should be living it up. Theres a lot about my past that people dont know, and i have a hard time letting guys know my real feelings because i have before. i put myself out there and was crushed. that happend awhile ago though. idk...i just feel like i dont have any emotion and im stuck in this hole i just cant get out of. i feel like i just need to accept my past and use it to help myself be normal again. idk i need help

I play guitar and I was asking myself today, why am I able to do what many can't? It sounded simple but as the night progressed I kept thinking about it and it became a debate in my mind between the sciences. Is it something psychological? Physiological? I thought, "what makes me different from you?" and vice-versa?

Has that ever happened to you? What seperates you from the herd?

I had a dream where i was laying in bed, and i rolled over and my ex boyfriends currant girlfriend was in bed with me and tried to attack me with a knife! I woke up screaming and trying to get away (i was sort of crawling on the floor) Now, what is weird about this, is i have known this girl for a number of years, prior to when they started dating. i have NEVER had a dream about her before, EVER, and i havent had one since. this dream happend shortly after he contacted me for the first time in ten months, and shortly before they broke up due to infidelity issues on her part. they are back together now. this dream really botherd me because i am 20 years old and this is the first wake up screaming sort of nightmare ive had since i was 11, and i have no idea what to make of it.

As any human I have the desire for social acceptance. I wish I didnt because it is semi-impossible for me to change, believe me I try. I do not just sit at home all the time. When I can get out I go. I can not make small talk every awakening second is rude. Friends play with eachother, and it is hard for me to feel that, I just get akward looks like dude what are you doing? And girls are worse, at this period our brains want us to get married. I only had one friend girl in my life. I CAN NOT talk to any girl, unless they are black because of my ghetto background I am forced to talk to which I despise, not that I am racist, but I am attracted to white girls. I also am not good at any thing so I always have people saying I am better than you. Everyone is so competitive. I know socially I have no motivation. I tell myself I will get better but my brain holds me back from moving up and consistency. So pretty much socially I have no motivation. I really dont get religion.maybe only be good?

here is my opinion, i think so because they say muslim women are impure when they having menstruation. Also, they not allow women to participate any games. Also, muslim women were told by muslim man to cover their body with veils and clothes.
