I don't think you can die in your dreams particulary because you don't know what its like to die unless you have died before which would be impossible. Am I right? And even if you do die in your dream your probably not dead, your just about to die and then you wake up! Can anyone offer some ideas on this?

No, these beliefs are not true. Many people have dreamed that they died or hit bottom in a fall and they have lived to tell the tale! You can explore the meaning of these kinds of images just as you would explore any others that might occur in your dreams.

I've never actually seen myselfdie in my dreams but years ago I used to have a reaccurring dream of how I was going to die or may die.It always involved the same scenario to the T,for a few years to come,but now I don't have that dream anymore and I don't drive a black car anymore eithe
On the other hand I have an older friend who repeatedly dreams of himself dieing and then he becomes capable of flying and he says it really feels like he has gone flying....and goes all over the world seeing beautiful things to freaky things.He said ,since he moved from his residence of many years he doesn't have thatdream and feeling anymore..and he misses it.

Dreams can incorporate the wildest fantasies. Yes, you can be an observer in a dream and see yourself dying or even, buried. But, you are still there viewing the dream.
So, you aren't really gone at all. That should help you to put this in perspective.
Now, feeling pain or fright usually forces people awake, so you won't die in a dream if you are experiencing pain.

i think you could die in your dreams because you have prolly have some sort of an idea about what it would be like to die and you would interpret it some how in your dream

While dreaming cannot kill you, you can dream that you are dead. I have dreamed that I was dead. I didn't see myself die, but I knew that I was dead in my dream. It was really strange.

well, techniacally, you're right! But, you donm;t have to experience death to have a dream that you die...you could look like you died. ....but good point there!

in dreams u could do anything...anything which u cant do in ur realy life...so u can die in ur dreams ...
some time we saw all things in dreams which are runining in our unconsious....so there might be a chance that u can see everthing in ur dreams....
one more thing if some one saw his/her dead body in their dreams then when they woke up they should say THANX to GOD for having a beautiful life...

well da scary thing is i CAN feel pain in my dreams so i wake up before i die sometimes i cant tell da difference its real scary...i wish dis crap would stop.
