Have informal talks, after they trust you and know that you actually care.....and that the group cares.....Ideas will spring forth, maybe crafts, maybe some sports, maybe volunteer work....all these will help self esteem. The main thing is to let them know you care, they have trust issues.

My idea is that if you have access to the Domestic/Sexual Assualt Outreach Center,I would visit with their knowledgeable and experienced staff and go from there.I'msure they will be the most helpful and generous with their advice and resources to get you pointed in the right direction in all matters involving your goals.I know they are back here in my hometown in Iowa.GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!

Give them something to take care of and love. Perhaps
let them volunteer at a wild life center where their help
would not only be greatly appreciated by the staff, but
by the animals who give unconditional love. They can
really thrive in this enviornment and obtain a feeling of
self worth.

Do collaborative group work. Show that the girls can care and show them to care about each other. Like Raggnaar said, have them do volunteer work to show them that they can still do things. Just, when all else fails, listen to them and let them know that you'll be there for them.
