I thought it was great. I was crying because of some of the girls have gone through so much, but still they have an inner glow and they have a strong desire to get an education and to rise above their adversity. I was proud of Oprah for being able to give that to them

I think it's an incredible opportunity for impoverished black girls to become women of substance and power and knowledge. South Africa will be better for this.
Young white girls from middle clas and lower class have had access to schools like Herschel and others to empower them and boys from different backgrounds have Bishops and other schools, Oprah's camp levels the playing field so to speak for young black women.
Maybe someone will build schools for intelligent black young boys to develop their leadership skills.

i think this is the best thing that ever happened to the girls, i mean historically, women were not allowed to even access education, then later they were taught domestisicing education( education that reinforced women's domestic duties in the home, eg teaching) but now at least girls could also access education(sort of a high standard education). but to have an educational institution that focuses especially on girls, not only academicall but also on social needs. thats a blessings. the girls have a place to sleep, have food to eat and at the sametime they are accessing high standard education. shuu, i wish i was them, but not with the experiences that they have been through.

I think all of the young ladies who are awarded the opportunity to become educated there are going to have a great chance at living dreams. "Reciprocity" comes to mind. I think it is a wonderful blessing. God bless****

I think it will gain a reputation for lesbianism, like other all female schools.
