I dont get it. Every so often someone (usually a girl) will come one, talk about all her great qualities in a very positive manner and then ask if she sounds pretty? When its so clear that she is, at least by her own description, she must already get loads of compliments in person, why would she still need more reassurance?

i have a friend who recently said something interesting to me out of the blue. This is a friend who talks to me about her problems &what is wrong with her relationship. Her first problem is that everytime her boyfriend doesnt say i love you or kiss her back she asks if hes mad at her or whats wrong. i have told her many times if she keeps her insecure ways going he's going to dump her..& then she imed me out of the blue the other day with this:
>i think im better than everyone else and when i fail to see that i get upset. when things arent exactly how i want them to be it bothers me because i believe i deserve better than that.
>i enjoy helping people and being a good person bcuz i know it makes me better than everyone else
>everyone who doesn't see things my way is wrong

(all said in an IM conversation)

does anyone know what is wrong with her?are there any pyschlogical problems she could have and what can i do to help her? she already seen a therapist about her self esteem issues

why do good people get treated badly? i asked this question before in a different form, but got one sided answers, and one that made no sense, so i took back my five points. i want to understand why some poeple who have good companions use them and treat them badly.

I care very much about what happens around me. I try to help poor people, stray and sick animals, etc, not because I have free time or money to spend, but because I can't help it. When I hear children in Africa are hungry or women imprisoned or stoned for adultery in Asia, or children molested, or baby seals skinned alive, I feel horrible. I mean it really affects me. Do I have a psychological problem or is it normal that when these horrible things happen I can't just look the other way, forget about them and enjoy myself?

My ex and I left it on a bad note. I wanted him to hurt just as bad as he made me feel. But after our breakup I did the crying and the "why" and left him messages. The break up was shocking and he reacted very coldly. The more I called him, the more he turned me away. Anyhow, he was at fault for the breakup in so many ways. I feel for what he has done he should be ashamed. Anyhow, I have cutt off all contact with him. I have not called him at all. Its been a month. My question is does time make someone think about how cruel thier behavior was? Does me not being there crying and wanting him to confront me, and just plain ignoring him,like he does not exist...will this make him relaize what a dirtbag he really is?

i have noticed a woman I am working with keeps mimicking things i do. she is educated and in her late 20's. for examples

1 when I get a clean hair cut, within the next few days i see she has done her hair in ways I never seen her do before.

2 when i start to wear certain type of clothing (ie checkered) - i notice in the new few days she wears checkered clothing which i never seen her wear

3 i once told her unique people makes me tick, since then she will go out of her way to show me she does unique things (uses the microwave to heat her coffee when one hot water tap is broken, when one would usually use the other taps).

These actions led me to think perhaps she would like to talk - but when I do she tells me she she is busy and already has a partner. I'm not sure where the partner thing came from, but fair enough, i decide to leave her alone but she keeps greeting me and mimicking me and following me at work.

i'm a little confused by this persons actions.

As in every one who is on this planet is going to die, its a bit depressing, no one will know what it was like now, all the love will go and most of us will be completely forgotten and the lucky of us will get our achievements remembered. I feel cheated we are only at the beginning the potential of the brain and our exploration into the universe and all we have is a faked moon landing, I’m thinking about cryogenics but I’m not smart now so will be even more useless in the future plus I would have to get the money. Its so annoying and depressing, how do you deal with it?
