One thing is for certain... You can never be sure if someone is lying or not!
Depends how well you know that person and how good liar that person is. There are some usual signs, like blush or person cannot mantain eye contact or he will nervously play with fingers while talking... But it all don't have to mean that someone is lying. Some liars cannot be detected even with lie detector. It also depends on how much you want to hear something, so you will tolerate more obvious lies...
Just use common judgment, I don't believe that anyone can tell you better than this...

usually when they cannot look you in the yes although some are good and can so... try relating to the way they usually answer you and if they seem to be over stressing one particular point they just may be lying and if they keep bringing it back up Ode say they r lying

There are a number of signs that I know judges look for. One of them is that we tend to look away, rather than in the eyes, of the person we are lying to.
Other signs are that the blood pressure and heart rate tend to go up when you lie.
My children, on the other hand, tend to start giggling if they are trying to lie to me while looking in my eyes.

when someone is lying, they usually tend to to cover up their mouth (as if, psychologically, they try to cover the lies they'r sayin) and they avoid making eye contact with you, and when u ask them sth that they have to make uop at the moment, they talk slower than usual in order to think about the lie that fits their story...
usually these signs r quite clear with little kids, but when it comes to grown ups, they develop the skill to hide these signs...
