I have never had a girlfriend before. There were many girls I was interested in, but I was often too afraid to tell them. When I did muster up the guts to ask one of them, I was always rejected. This made me more self conscious and timid. I am getting very frustrated with myself and discouraged. I see some guys who are jerks but always have a girlfriend. But I know I'm not like them and DON'T WANT TO BE like them. There has to be a balance somewhere between being timid and being arrogant.

I want real answers. It seems post industrial revolution in the West has shown the gross abuse of power religious, financial and political leaders have managed to keep under wraps. Are American's [i.e. Westerner's] so jaded and fed up with these institutions that they worship and emulate celebrities? Thus encouraging the rich and famous' irresponsible and counter productive beahvior?

I have a friend that has a lot of the signs for it, but as a child they were dignosed with a mild learning disability and ADHD. Is it possible that they dignosed wrongly or would they seem to have AS and it is actually LD & ADHD? What would the benefits be if they was dignosed with AS as an adult? Is there any benefit?

Is there a 'normal' amount of jealousy? (I'm only talking about the 'emotion' of jealousy, not the actions that usually go along with it and not only in romantic relationships but all across the board) When does it become unhealthy? What are your thoughts on the emotion of jealousy?

I saw a question posted the other day pertaining to someone who knew a woman who was tricking her significant other into having a baby by lying about her birth control. I've heard of and even seen tons of situations like these and that coupled with the number of young women I know who seem to be obcessed with getting pregnant made me wonder what makes females so preoccupied with the whole concept? Is it biology? Like we have baby-mania ingrained in our DNA and estrogen takes over when we become sexually active, making us practically crave pregnancy. Or do you, like me, believe that society has a lot to do with it? Little girls all over the world are encouraged to play will dolls, and impressionable children are then already thinking of motherhood. Women who are unable to reproduce naturally tend to have a number of psychological problems, feeling inept and inadequate as a human being. Your thoughts on this?

I'm not a parent. At 43, I have decided I don't want children, but have a great many in my life through family and close friends. I realize that I can't understand many things, but I also know that I have objectivity in my favour when it comes to the behaviours of children today.

I'm interested in the thoughts of those folks on here as to why we have seen such disrespect for adults and a general feeling of entitlement in the last couple of generations of young people.

I was in this huge house. But all of the walls were made of trees and boards and very jagged with nails and screws sticking out all over. The inside of the house was like 10 stories high. but all of the floors were made of dirt and glass and rocks, with winding passages, but you couldn't step anywhere else because there was no floor. Just on the winding twisting paths. Each path led to another floor.

There was a guard on each floor that would not let you pass until you were doing the same style thing he was doing. If he danced you had to dance. If he slid around, you had to slide around. etc... Until the top floor. where there was no floor and all I did was fall and fall and fall for what seemed an eternity. What does it mean?

Iam inexperienced with art history. Lately I have these obsesive fits (don't even cognativley realize Iam awake when this happens) to where I just research for hours about old and new world archeology (this is stuff from my work Iam a digital imager for a archaeologist). This goes on for hours and hours and then i snap out of it. Its scaring me. Besides that I have day frights were I think I am gonna get shot or killed constantly, thinking Iam in some sort of war but i snap out of it after a few seconds.also when I dream all i can see are ruins underwater. Am I going insane? should I seek help? My parents would really think apathetically of me if they found this out. If they knew about it , it would be the worst shame I could ever face. I have never longed for these things so why am I obsessed? and why Do i have these uncognative feelings?
