no, it is not something they end up doing, its just about living on the edge, taking yourself to extreme pleasure, sensations, joy, etc...
anyone who has tried drugs can tell you,
getting high with substances is an out of this world experience,
they can take you to places no one has been to,
you may experience extraordinary feelings, sensations,
but of course, this abilities developed come with high risks.
yes, its dangerous... you can lose your life, or at least your mind. dont know what is worse-

They get such a great buzz from performing live , they try to keep that feeling going when they are not onstage. As nothing compares to the excitement of performing they take the drugs to give the rest of their life a buzz. Before they know it they need drugs 24 7. When those drugs no longer have the desired effect
they take stronger ones. Pretty soon they are "out of it " on and off stage . They can no longer control their drug taking and they are ( if lucky ) admitted to rehab. They then spend the rest of their lives preaching " Dont do drugs "

There are too many factors to list but to cut it short, there are obvious issues in being a rockstar. Your suddenly the center of an enormous fan bases attention, all eyes on you so to speak. Then there's the industry, corrupt and full of drugs. Bare in mind this is a very brief description lets not forget! When did a rockstar taking drugs ever do bad for their image?

Having drugs offered to you and the peer pressure is probably why many go down that slippery slope. Having a 100,000 fans scream your name at a concert must make one feel invincible as well.

Because they become who they associate with. It is a drug infested job. Most people who go to Rock concerts are doing drugs. They grow up seeing rock concerts doing drugs and continue doing drugs in their own concerts. It's funny that they mostly develop a drug habit. Hasn't anyone thought to get the dealers who provide them prosecuted and removed from the rock stars lives?
Seems a simple solution too me, no one ever blames the dealers, only the users.

they make take it to keep them going to stop them being so tired or because of the pressure and stress and they cant cope the drugs would cause delusions and deeper depression as in anyone this maycauses them to comit sucide etc

I reckon its because for their whole lives they have strived to get to a certain place in their music career and when they get there they can only reach higher through drugs. Also being surrounded by other people who take drugs leads to them getting sucked in to it

First, they do them because they can. Their lives are not the real world so therefore they submit to fantasy. Unfortunately, this type of live destroys them to the point where they can't fix themselves, hence the suicide.
