Human beings are not supposed to work hard like and jack as$ day and night. The Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada explains that this is not the propose of human life. We are supposed to realize who we are in reality , not these bodies which everyone is working so hard do enjoy the senses of. We really have nothing to do with this. This world is an illusion and everyone is just trying to be God in this world, under the spell of Maya (illusion)- Gods illusory energy. for more details go to harekrishnatemlpe.c Read Bhagavad Gita As it is -which gives the purpose and meaning of human life.

I work very hard because I have pride in my work and want to do a good job for my boss. If I do something half a** I feel guilty.

All depends on how much work I have to do. Sometimes I will let it accumulate so I will have something to do later.
