Generally, arrogance isn't the appropriate word when applying that attitude to a woman. She is considered self absorbed instead of arrogant. And yes, they are turned off by arrogant men. The reason? The men don't pay enough attention or show enough respect to the women...

To tell the truth, I don't think real people like arrogance period. Men don't like arrogant women and women don't like arrogant men.

I think everybody has a limit as to how much arrogance they can take regardless of gender. Some people are blessed with more patience and tolerance than others.
