I teach martial arts for a living. I'm not in it for the money, I want to help people. Everyone I have ever given a flyer or offered a free class, this number somewhere in the thousands by now, has never come in. It seems ludicrous that in a time where fearmongering is rampant and people do not trust eachother that they would not wish to learn how to defend themselves. On this same train of thought, I find it ridiculous that even though everyone has stress that kills them in every day life they do not want to get rid of it even when someone offers something that would help them. I just want to know what is going on in the heads of people.

whenever you hear about a woman being physically abused by a mate some-one always asks "why does she stay with him?"....nobody ever says "why does he beat her up?", which (to me) shifts the blame right onto the woman....

Give me math, science, foreign language, music- OK, I can get into that. Give me history and economics and I'm lost at SEA.
So I'm looking at this great LAND, and the debate over the minimum wage (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070130/ap_on_go_co/minimum_wage),
and all I can think is,
you press this lever, and things shift like this. You press this button, and POP! there goes the seam that was holding everything together over there.
I know it's a grotesquely simple concept, but am I seeing the forest from way outside of the trees, or what?

It appears that only women wear g-strings and thongs. Why is this?
If they are comfortable, then, why don't men wear them? :)
If they are NOT comfortable, then why are women wearing them?

(I never tried them and I'm curious, so this is the reason I'm asking...)

:)

I was reading the other day that the US was at 8,689,103,419,475 dollars and 70 cents, and it is probably a few more millions as we speak, cost of the Iraq war is about 170,000/per minute,(Nationalpriorities.org) so let's say approximately 2,833 dollars and 33 cents per second. That's without taken into consideration, immigration, health care, education, security, public housing, environment, etc. My first question is where all that money come from, and when do you expect the US to collapse? I'm a student, so make your answer useful and knowledgeable

it's not just men, it's women that seem threatened by it also. i know it involves taking away some power that men have over women, but it's not about having power over men, just ourselves. why does female autonomy bring out sexism so much?

In the film "A Beautiful Mind", there's a scene where four guys are in the bar and five women walk in - one incredibly hot. Russell Crowe says:

"If we all go for the blonde and block each other, not a single one of us is going to get her. So then we go for her friends, but they will all give us the cold shoulder because no on likes to be second choice. But what if none of us goes for the blonde? We won't get in each other's way and we won't insult the other girls. It's the only way to win. It's the only way we all get laid."

Do you think this is a true case of Nash Equilibrium? If not why not, and if you do why? I have to present this and need some rationale!!

for few months now I had this recurring dream that I was floating and infront of me is a man wearing white telling me in a nice and kind way that God wants me to become a teacher. And everytime the dream is repeated, the man became more and more angry at me telling me that I have to do what God had been telling me to do...do you think this is a message or just me being stressed, but i can already count the times I have this dream every month.

.............."creative"?
I see far too many feminists that think this way. It's not creative, it's low-integrity to the extreme, and indicative of complacency. I think, when you get down to it, complacency is the main trait that feminists have that they shouldn't.
