Mostly all the ones I have had in the material world. This world is just an illusion and keeps one in bondage if one focuses on material activities past or present or future. According to the Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupad- one should try to transcend this material existence which is full of misery. The quickest way is to chant the maha mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from all suffering and misery) go to harekrishnatemple.c for all details. See the moveie the Trueman show- with Jim Carry to get an idea of what I mean about the world being an illusion.

I know this might sound weird, but I've considered it before, and my answer is none. I feel all the experiences I've been through in life, no matter how stressful or traumatic, have helped shape me into the person I am today. While there are many things I would like to have not happened in my life, they did happen, and I need to accept this. This is only for me though, I can see why people who have been through something incredibly painful or upsetting for them would wish to forget that memory.

what good will that do if i cant change the event i want to erase from memory? i mean it has already influenced me so me forgetting it would be life the human race finding out an integral piece of their creation then saying "lets forget this and try to find it again."

None--I wouldn't still be me without all of my memories, just as my brain has stored them. Erasing memories is erasing part of yourself, is lunacy.

...there are lots of things that i would choose to do differently if i had a chance, but most memories i would not erase-even if not the most pleasant....but some memories i'd gladly be rid of: memories of childhood abuse, sexual abuse, rape, and other traumas

Honestly, none. Yes there are some nasty ones I feel like I could live without, but your experiences are what make you who you are. You know, what doesn't kill ya makes you stonger.
