Before I wore them, I thought they would be impossibly uncomfortable. But after trying a pair, I haven't gone back to any other kind of underwear. They are incredibly comfortable...providing you buy them in one size bigger than you would normally wear. And you can feel incredibly sexy in them....
Oh, and I'm a woman!

Her'e something that I've posted before on similar questions.
I'm a guy and I wear thongs and sometimes boxer briefs. I don’t wear thongs because of their looks or because I care about what fashion designers and fashion critics think that is “in” or “out.“ In fact, I agree with women when they say that boxers briefs are the best looking underwear for men. I would go as far as to say that there aren’t a lot of men that have the nice round butt to look good in them. Since I wear all of my underwear under my pants or shorts and I don’t walk around in my underwear, especially in public, I pick my underwear based on comfort and not what’s fashionable.
I wear thongs because of their unmatched support and because I personally think that thongs are the most comfortable type of underwear you can wear. Thongs give me the best support, in particular during sport activities, almost as if I was wearing a jock strap but a WHOLE LOT more comfortable. Once you have picked the right size and material and you’ve worn them for a little while, they feel so comfortable that you don’t even feel them.
I don't mean to discuss anyone, but for me, a huge reason why I love them so much is because they help prevent what I call “SBS” (Sticky Balls Syndrome), which is the sticky feeling that comes from your sweaty balls touching your inner thighs. I think that sticky sensation is very uncomfortable! With the right thongs, you don't suffer from SBS. I don't know how most guys can live with SBS. I guess they don’t know any better. I didn’t and I would still be in the dark it if wasn’t for an ex-girlfriend who literally made me wear them for a couple of weeks to try them out. All I can say is that once you go with no SBS for a while, you never want to go back to it.
Some people feel that men shouldn't wear thongs, but I don't see why not. People put too much importance on underwear. I guess that some people are homophobic and think that men who wear thongs are gay or feminine, as if the type of underwear you wear makes you more or less of a man. Dhaaa! I don’t suffer from homophobia, and I’m too secure about my masculinity and sexuality to worry about little stuff like that.
Ironically, there's a western gay bar by my home. You should see some of the guys that go in and out of that place. Some look gay (totally feminine), some like any other guy walking down the street, but some look all super, and I mean SUPER macho tuff guys wearing their western outfits. I’m not talking about some skinny guys, I’m talking about some well build guys. Football player build type. They look totally, 100%, MANLY MEN…and yet, they are gay! Clothes, in particular underwear, DO NOT make a man!

I used to think that thongs are uncomfortable but then i got a pair to "test drive" and found them realy comfy! I guess men dont wear thongs because it would leave them in a position where their package is constricted yet not supported so I guess for you guys its more uncomfortable than us ladies. But it also might be that alot of men are uncomfortable with anything being so near up their butt...So then i guess a real manly man is the only one that can handle thongs. Good luck....test drive a pair.

men dont wear them because they need the extra space and room to breathe considering that body part is external. women wear them because our body part is internal so nothing is in the way and we dont need any extra material to cover that area or actually hold anything inside. plus our clothing fits tighter and is usually more revealing so thongs can be used to hide pantylines that might show through our clothing. they are not always comfortable or for everyone. depending on your body type such as your size and shape in that area (big butt, small butt, wide hips, big thighs, small waist, etc.) different thongs/g-strings can either fit or not. someone who is a larger size may want a regular thong with wider coverage of that area than a petite sized woman that may feel better in a g-string type thong with less coverage. they are not healthy to wear because women need full coverage of that area to prevent coming into contact with bacteria and germs. there can also be chaffing and irrtation from too much skin to skin contact and exposure, especially if overweight and/or from too much sweat and moisture in that area which needs to stay dry tp prevent infection. g-strings and thongs arent very good for absorbtion and protection from any of these problems. so basically they are nice to wear if it fits you well and you dont have to keep it on for long because it may be very sexy, but its not very healthy for long term use.

Not in the least. It's like having a constant wedgie.

No, you always feel like you have a wedgie! Oddly enough, some people appear to LIKE that sensation! I am definitely NOT one of those people!

Seems it would be like rope like dental floss in your butt crack.
Seems that would be enough to irritate where your puckered.
Women would be used to them. They wear stuff crammed up in their cracks all the time.
