Prolonged fever can cause a lot of serious problems, such as dehydration (which leads to diarrhea) to blindness, even. It can affect your brain as well.

You feel cold because your body is releasing lots of heat. The skin feels hot because the skin is releasing heat. But as a result of losing heat, your body becomes cold. Every notice when you're drunk that you feel hot, but your body is cold to the touch?

The reason we take Tylenol to reduce fever is because we'd literally boil our brains out of our skulls. Once a fever goes above about 102, you risk permanent brain damage. The reason you feel chills is because your body is at a higher temperature, and is reacting to a perceived cold environment.

The Fever, isn't fighting the Flu. it's merely the tell-tale signs that Your Body is fighting the Flu. You have to calm the Fever. In order to be able to give your Body the chance to fight the Flu. I hope the thoroughly confuses you. It messed me up and I wrote it.

umm because your body is warmer than the air so you feel cold and you take the tylonol so the tylenol can fight it instead of you
