I would like you to think about the first time that you were aware of your gender. Please consider how you have been treated as a member of this gender group and how life might be different if you were to wake up tomorrow as a member of the opposite gender.

When I previously asked about what reproductive responsibilities men and women have, I was told that while men have a responsibility to pay child support if the mother chooses to have the child, that this responsibility is matched by the fact that whether a mother aborts the child or abandons it she is still responsible.

1. Who here thinks that a woman aborting an unwanted child or abandoning it at a firestation counts as taking responsibility for that child?

2. Does that count as equal responsibility to a man that would have to pay child support if she chose to keep the child?

3. Extra credit: Is this the feminist idea of equality, because I was told this by a feminist who claims to be about equality?

I'm so grateful, but disgusted at the same time. They finally found the Amherst bike path rapist. Well, this sick guy has raped several females over the past 20 years. Three of them were raped and murdered. This guy was even married with 2 sons (grown up now) Why are some people so disgusting like that? What are they thinking? I'm so scared that his sons are going to follow in the path of their father. It still gives me the chills. What is going through their head (people like this)??

did I do the right thing, I know I am doing the right thing by them and our arabic culture, but my ILS are the guest, I had experience before with them, I hate when they open my bedroom just to pray.
I don't like they are controlling, my father in law frowns in my face and my mother in law doesn't give me a hand if I asked her and she just offer her help when my work in the kitchen is almost finished, my gush, she has chosen teh cover for my leather sopha with red colour which I didn't like and I had to accept, I've let her choose my cups and coffea mugs for the guests and my clothes sometimes, I did alot of good to her.
this time, I asked my husban to invite them culturally we have to, my husband said: " my parents will appreciate it alot" from his heart ( poor husband find his parents innocents) I almost cry now becoz they are not, they only insult me.
I am afraid of other insults, criticismes, and my husband's pressure on me will increase. I don't want to put up with control.

All I can see are feminists saying that feminism is about equality, then claim that the acts of discrimination or examples of discriminatory laws that have been passed by feminists were the responsibility of "radical" feminists and that they aren't one of those. However, every last one of the feminists involved in the acts of discrimination and the discriminatory laws, claimed the EXACT SAME THING. In many cases the people that claim equality (even on here) will then go on to justify discrimination.

How can I come to the conclusion that OVERALL feminism is not a radical hate movement if the RESULTS of the feminist movement are the acts of discrimination and the discriminatory laws?

If they are different then surely someone can tell me why them seem to ACT in the same manner and can tell me how we can tell them apart.

So, how do we tell the difference between a "true" feminist and a "radical feminist" if they make the exact same claims?

it scares me so much and i sometimes wondering if all the schooling i'm doing now will just be a waste, i wonder if i should even bother getting married and having kids, i would hate to leave my family so soon. my dad died when i was 13 and i would hate to do that to my kids, and the whole idea of dying young really depresses the hell out of me, i know i may or may not get it. i'm 22 now and i just want to be able to live my life not being scared that it might hit me someday. please don't say anything to scare me, i do that enough to myself!
thanks for your ideas.

Me and my buddy Trev, we slumbered at my house, and we were both sleeping, and I was dreaming I was talking to a drug dealer (no, I don't do drugs, maybe a little weed now and then) and I'm like "so...You got the ****?" and the drug dealer is like "yeah man, I'm loaded"
then I woke up and I noticed Trev was talking in his sleep to me, and he says "so you got the money? cause I got the ****" and I'm like "holy ****, were were dream conversationing!"

Did anyone have similar experiences?

Would you say that it traps you in the system and inhibits you from "getting out?" (No insentive to further yourself)
I'm asking because I work at a grocery store, and it seems like every over half of the polynesian people that come through have food stamps. It's as if people become stuck in the system.

It's sad cuz I'm polynesian as well and everyone knows darn well that they could get off the system if the tried.
