I would like you to think about the first time that you were aware of your gender. Please consider how you have been treated as a member of this gender group and how life might be different if you were to wake up tomorrow as a member of the opposite gender.

both genders have almost equal joy and pain. But I'm comfortable enough being what I am and doubt life could be too different if I were to wake up tomorrow as a member of the opposite gender.

I was aware that I was a female at the same time I was aware I existed. 2-3 years old I guess. I went through a tomboy phase from about age 5-12 b/c I thought I would rather be a boy. They were more fun to me and I related to them better. I liked doing boy stuff and I was following behind my older brother. I wore his hand-me-downs, and I was a late bloomer physically, with a delicate boyish appearance.

Whoa! Then at about 12 or 13 I turned feminine b/c I LOVED boys in a way I never had before. Started wearing makeup, embraced my feminine side... etc. etc.

My husband loves me and I am his best friend. His female counterpart.

I don't know whether male or female would be best in Western society, but in many other cultures to be male is def. best.

Being born male and going through all the trials and tribulations of being a young boy no matter how unfair i think i was treated as opposed to the other females around my age i now understand why because i have a daughter and am very protective with her.

I wouldnt give any of that up for monthly periods, child bearing, child birth, being a literal slave to your children and husband (no matter how many mothers day gifts you get). Not to mention spending half your life as a sex object for men to comment about, jeer at or stroke or poke at.

Compared to how i was brought up is nothing in comparison to how my sisters were brought up and nothing in comparison to what theyre going through today.

I've been really tired lately. I mean really tired. I have been working like 10, 12, 14 hour days. And it's not so bad because Im doing stuff I like. But what gets me is the stress. I need to finish my work faster faster! Wouldnt it be nice to just stop time for a while and just take a nap? Well i think so. Anyway, I got lucky today because when my boss was reviewing my work, he was falling asleep himself. So i got away with some stuff. In my half asleep half awake state i suddenly though... yeah, the T-Rex... he's pretty cool. No one can take on him.

hmmm. guys don't have the pressure that girls do to look nice so it's probably easier to be a guy.
