I'm visiting my sister soon by airplane. I had a terrible nightmare that I died when I was there. It was freezing and icy streets. My brother-in-law was driving and skidded on the ice and we fell off a clip to our deaths! It was so realistic! I woke up out of breath and had to catch my breath because it felt as if I was holding it for so long!

This was apparently published in the Financial Times according to http://www.commondreams.org/headlines06/1206-01.htm

"The concentration of wealth in different countries varies considerably, with the top 10 per cent in the US holding 70 per cent of the country’s wealth, compared with 61 per cent in France, 56 per cent in the UK, 44 per cent in Germany and 39 per cent in Japan."

According to them, wealth disparity is greater in the US than it is in France, the UK, Germany, and Japan.

Do you believe it? What are your thoughts on these statistics?

Are we WHO WE ARE based on Nature? (we were born that way?)

or...

Are we WHO WE ARE based on Nurture? (our environment and up-bringing made us who we are)

I actually think it is both... but I am curious to know, which one do you think has a GREATER influence on "Who We Are" ?

I have this fear which is quite uncommon, actually I don't know a single person who has the same, and I'm a psychology student...

Here goes: I'm afraid of out of order installations, especially during the winter when there is ice on everything (ig: frozen swimming pools)... I'd be terrified to visit Six Flags during the winter (or any time outside business hours, for that matter) ....

Is there even a name for this, or do you have any idea how to explain this fear??
