my ex was a complete gentleman to the girl he dated before me and many others, however me and this other girl were the only 2 girls he was a complete jerk to. what could be the reasons?
the similarities between us (me and othe other girl) are that we're both angsty, attractive, not nerdy (like some of the others), have lives of our own (once again, unlike the others), have been sheltered by our fathers and are spontaneous and bold. the other girls he dated are markedly vanilla and not bold or spontaneous at all-- they're predictable. so why is he nicer to boring girls and meaner to me and the other girl who are more exciting?
it doesn't make sense at all.
and the weirder part is that me and that other girl were his longest relationships (he and i dated for over a yr, and he and the other girl dated for 4 months-- all the others were either dumped within a month, or dumped him within a month).
even WEIRDER: his relationship with me and the other girl were the only problematic ones.

My mother and sister seemed concerned enough to call my other physician to find out what to do. Then I spoke to him and said I didnt want to go to the hospital. And he said 'fine'. But it was not what my family had hoped he'd say, so while I was using a nebulizer and gasping for breath, my sister phoned a mental health hotline and told them that mental issues were preventing me from thinking clearly about going to the hospital. They disagreed. My sister then made a call to get a family court warrant to have me evicted from the house I have lived in for a long time because I wouldnt listen to them. Now they will not speak to me, and keep saying that they are finding a way to have me forceably removed from my residence and brought to a psychiatric ER and half way house for not obeying them. My sister is a senior citizen and mom is older. Their behavior at times frightens me & I fear for my life. They share the same room Can they be having a mental breakdown at the same time?

I had to call it quits. I still love him deeply, but he has an ongoing drug thing. I do not do drugs and I have very little tolerance for them. But with him, because I love him so much, I have forgivin him time and again. But for my own sanity-and dignity- I had to let him go. It hurts, not just emotionally, but it feels like a physical pain also. I want to get past this. Should I find someone else? Should I just sit in pain for awhile? Help.

Do you have people, in your life, who tell you what you should do for a living or what you should do with your life, because they feel that you're wasting time in school studying courses to get an A.A. in order to further education?

I've gotten suggestions from relatives (particularly my aunts), and others, for instance, "Why don't you just study Nursing or take courses to be a CNA or one of the medical occupations?"

I had thought about it. I know others who are studying to be a Nurse because of possible job opportunities, and high salary. I feel that I want to consider other medical fields, since I'm somewhat pressured...

When I told them what major I considering, they started to question what types of job I might do with it.

Honestly, I'm not yet very clear of what I want to do with the major that I've been considering.

I usually get criticized; there are people who can make feel bad or put me down.

I want to be fulfilled.

It seems that holidays like Thanksgiving are super stressful with family dramas and Christmas is probably the worst of them. What can I do to make this year less stressful and tolerate the holiday better?

it seems like ppl are very upset about steryotyping. BUT if somebody came up to me and was like, "YOURE A LOSER CAUSE YOUR STRAIGHT!" or like ,"YOUR A LOSER CAUSE YOUR WHITE! or "YOUR A LOSER CAUSE YOU LIVE IN THE SOUTH!" i would not really be upset at all. i am very happy to be what i am, a white straight southern girl.

it seems like the only ppl who would be offended would be the ppl insecure about themselves, and/or are jealous of something better.

am i right???

Like when someone is dying or close to death, and the doctor tells the family members that the person is "very strong" and "really wants to live?"

Obviously it doesn't mean that the sick person is actually and literally fighting against the grim reaper in suspended animation. I know that the human body is designed to protect itself against everything it encounters, but does the mind still have the capacity and will power to fight while it's in a coma?

Or do doctors just say that kind of thing to everyone just to ease the family's suffering?

I used to work with a boss (not mine) that had a very peculiar opinion when hiring people. She always said that she didn't like hiring really attractive or good looking people. For instance when she was looking for an admin assistant she told us that she purposely took the "plain" looking lady over the more qualified "good looking" lady. Someone asked why and she explained that good looking people were to difficult to control, vain, and spent way too much time socializing and flirting (or being the object of affection). Myself, I find this almost against the law these days, and quite questionable. Do you think what she said had any grounds in reality???? Do others have this opinion? I'm was almost afraid of dressing too nice or looking too sharp after hearing her rant

Why do people think ghosts are scary? I haven't viewed ghosts (if they're real) as frightening since I was a child. Ghost movies don't scare me either (except "Poltergeist", but that was more "Demon-y", IMO, and "The Haunting", based on "The Haunting of Hill House"). I only find them frightening if they can hurt me. BTW, I'm pretty sure our house is haunted. (All of us have heard tiny voices, giggling, seen things flying across the room and seen various faces). Does anyone else share my feeling of finding ghosts NOT scary?
