I experienced 'waking up' hearing myself speaking in a language foreign to me. Has happened a few times. Lucid dream state? Was 'awake' enough to awareness of experience yet still sensed was 'asleep'. Have you experienced this. Insight to this experience?

I will be studying about ancient Rome (modern Italy) and it's civilizations, cultures, customs etc. but about their leaders, of one, Caligula. During his 3 year(?) idle(?) decadent (?) reign why did citizens accept this and why didn't outside forces take advantage of this if they knew such weak persons were on the throne? Caligula doesn't seem to be a 'normal' person to be a leader possibly due to his tragic upbringing which might account for his mental strangeness which seems to continue towards insanity.

it should be. how come they dont have any porno on guys. why women? thats very disrespectful to females. guys like watching nudity. i mean girls dont u hate that. thats why men treat us negatively. that what causes: rape, molesting, violence, making women less important.

just because u see a girl wearing a skirt, guyz consider that pervertly.

I have been a shy introvert for years. I also have been quite happy with just a few close and trusted friends (most of whom have the same problems with small talk as I do).

Unfortunately, my new job as a small campus church music director calls for the ability to a)socialize in large groups, which pretty much requires b) the ability to small talk.

I have realized that it is not the large groups that I am afraid of (although I much prefer small group/one-on-one interactions with plenty of time to recuperate alone). It is small talk.

When I was growing up, my family would talk about things. We would hash through ideas and theories about whatever happened to be on our minds. We never really "small talked." And for most people, it is small talk that bridges the gap between complete strangers, friends, or even decently warm business relationships. And for most people, anyone who falters at the stage of small talk is deemed "not worthy of further time."

always survive. This superiority is passed through genetic material and the genetic material is passed through sexual intercourse with sperm combining with the egg and creating human life. Homosexuals while they have all the correct anatomy and cells to create human life lack the ability because they abstain from copulation with the opposite sex. Therefore they cannot pass on their genetic information. This leaves them in an interesting position. Either they choose to be homosexual and they are psychologically flawed becuase this would give them a gender identity disorder. Or they are genetically flawed and homosexuality as a genetic influence will eventually be removed from the genetic pool because only the fir survive to copulate and pass on genteic information. What do you think? and please no name calling only good objective answers.

The popularity of Kiva ( http://www.kiva.org/app.php ) brings up an interesting question. What makes more sense, throwing good money after...well...maybe bad, or giving loans to industrious entrpreneurs in Africa who can stimulate the domestic economy?

Nietzsche would support Kiva before funding any of the mirade of give-away charities.

Im not saying its wrong to give to charities which merely treat the symptoms as opposed to cause, but as a matter of choice, in my mind, its not even close.

Buffet just gave a truckload of bucks to the Gates foundation which deals with disease in third world countries. I know some of the money goes into R&D, but all the same, I would have preferred every dime of it go to Kiva.
