Do not go anywhere without a cell phone or stay in vacinity where there is a phone available.
Be sure another person knows of your plans in advance - your expected time of departure and return.
Do not be overly cautious but do not be risky either - anyone can protray themselves to be anything online - there is no real risk behind a screen.
Be careful not to share too much of your personal information until you have time to learn more about this person.

Be careful! Have set times to call home or receive a call from friends. Stay in a public place. Only meet for a few hours to begin with...don't go away for a whole weekend. Other than that listen to what the other people have already said!

Don't go anywhere alone with him until you have a chance to do a background check on him. I say that as a man on-line, and have no qualms about telling you to be SAFE. IF it offends him, he's not worth it. You might just be saving yourself from an axe-murderer, a red-meat eater, or worse yet, a REPUBLUKUN! LOL...
Make sure you stay completely in public when with him, and MEET him there, don't go WITH him...Keep a safe exit plan...Other than that, have fun!

Not know your age my friend? I would be very careful now-adays. There are many spooky things out there. Be careful, watchful, and like others mentioned stay in public areas. And have a phone with you. Wish you good luck and always be safe!

well i will put it to you like this but it only my opinion, be safe and alert, be on your toes , never let your guard down.. i really hope he is nice and friendly like you say.. there is so many bad people in this world it is hard to trust people that you really don't know. i guess what I'm trying to say is women to women us women have to look out for each other .. hope you understand where i am coming from.. our parents always say be aware of our actions , words to live by.. good luck.
