I agree u , it should be banned. I am surprised that women themselves are against it. Actually it may be good for some , but for those young guys and children who becomes addicted to it , is very dangerous. One thing more that is , its causing a negative attitude towards women and we can't ignore it. Womens are most beautiful gift of God , they should be respected , not shown as an object......

No Porn should not be banned. There is not a cause and effect or coorelation between watching nudity and raping , molesting a woman.
I happen to like porn, there is nothing wrong with that. Seeing something is one thing and doing it is another. I mean come on, if a guy see's a movie on superman , he doesnt follow suit and wear an attair like that and attempt flying. Neither, does a guy jump of the buliding to save the love of his life , which he may see in a movie. Rape, molesting, violence is about showing agressiveness and making self belief that one has power (although having power or showing power / control on something weaker doesnt reallly prove much).

I think you havent watched porn, they do have websites esp. designed for womens pleasure in which they show guys just as women are depicted. women do not watch porn and go out and rape a man what makes you think that a guy does that same thing?

Rape and violence , again i will reiterate , is about power, control, and oppression of the weaker subject. and it often begins with contemplation. one doesnt just watch porn and go out and rape.

As a female, although I do not always watch a lot of porn, I can appreciate it. It can be fun and enjoyable. While there is plenty of girl on girl porn, there is also male and female and all male porn. There are even making Guys gone wild videos now (although I cannot say I would want to watch that). The human body looks the way it does for a reason. The fact that men enjoy porn, does not make them perverts. It's a pretty natural thing. I think men treat women negatively because they were not taught the right way to treat women fromt he get go, not because they watch porn. Let's face it, guys were jerks to women long before pornography existed.
The people who commit the crimes you mentioned are depraved individuals. While perhaps one in a million gets off on porn and then goes to commit a crime. Others are messed up to begin with and would commit the crime anyway.

I don't.
WHERE have you been? Porn exists for females too. I recoil from it when I see an ad about it one of my mags!!
I am not disrespectful to females and I watch porn!
True what women wear does NOT mean she should be groped. And if men do act that way then expect it and don't wear provocative clothing.
Porn is beautiful. I can't think of anything more beautiful than the female form.

I DO think it shoud be regulated better.

Having studied the concept on 3 continents and 6 different countries I can tell you that you are way out of line. Does it objectify women - Yes - the women in the films and they are there to be objectified. Does it transfer over to reality - yes - as much as the RoadRunner and Wiley Coyote transfer over to reality. Somebody will use it as an excuse much like you are doing. It has no basis in reality.

Just because you personally don't like something is no reason to try and get it banned, you can simply avoid looking at it yourself. The only porn that should be banned (and is banned) is child porn. A child is not capable of giving consent for sexual activities, and thus is being victimized by being forced to participate.

Adults should be allowed to do as they wish as long as no one is hurt. As others have said, there has been no link found between porn and sexual violence, and there is plently of guy porn for ladies (or men) who like that.

And I'm female btw.

You have no clue...rape has existed probably since the dawn of mankind, there is proof its been around since the dawn of civilization porn has nothing to do with it and believe it or not there is pornography for women its just that men are more sexually driven so the main stream is aimed towards men. Men have pornography women have erotica.

Are there any statistics that prove porn causes rape? I say mind your own business and leave people alone. Women are free to choose whether to bare their bodies or not. What about the poor losers who cannot get a woman at any price because they're unattractive in some way? Are they supposed to go without?
There's no harm in looking as long as no one is being hurt or forced to do things they don't want to do.

The primary function of porn is to interfere with interpersonal relationships and personal moral judgment. Twenty Six separate studies have shown conclusively that the viewing of pornography definitely desensitizes people to extremely unusual, bizarre, and deviant behavior.

Pornography is as addictive as drugs or alcohol. Numerous studies have shown that those who use porn over time need harder and harder material in order to maintain their previous level of arousal.

Pornography usually shows attractive women performing almost any type of act. This causes conflict in marriages in two ways. First, porn induced fantasies cause husbands to become dissatisfied with their wives physical imperfections. The result is many women begin to feel insecure and inadequate about their bodies. Second, husbands addicted to porn begin to expect their wives to perform perverted acts they witnessed in X- rated material. Most wives, of course, become disgusted and repelled by their husband's increasingly degenerate fantasies and behavior. Many times husbands turn to prostitutes or other women in order to satisfy their lustful and perverted desires.

Those naive individuals who cling to the quaint and outmoded belief that pornography is victimless should wake up and look at the facts. More than 65 independent studies have shown that dangerous offenders (child molesters, murders, and rapists) are not only more likely to commit their crimes if they use pornography, but they are likely to precede their violent acts with the extended use of pornography.

FACTS FROM THE FBI:
1) Pornography is a 12 billion dollar industry in the United States and is the third largest revenue producer for Organized Crime.

2) 86% of convicted rapists admit to regular use of porn and 75% of rapists admit to simulating acts they viewed in porn.

3) 82% of child molesters admit to imitating the sexual behavior they have seen in pornographic material.

4) 81% of recent mass murderers admit to using pornography extensively.

5) The crime rate increases 2 - 7 times where ever pornography is sold.

They do have porn featuring men. I don't think it's disrespectful, and I CERTAINLY don't think that's what causes things like rape and molestation. . .those things are committed by people who are already very, very sick in the head and watching Jenna Jameson have sex is not going to suddenly trigger them to go out and rape somebody. It would happen anyway.
