I have to write a speech on the subject, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what makes for a successful venture. . . . . I want to try and make the talk vaguely amusing though. I thought you guys might have some good ideas!

Ok, I know that dreaming of tornados means some sort of turbulence in my life (which is true!) I have had similar dreams quite a few times, usually watching tornadoes out of windows, I am always safe. Sometimes the tornados dont touch the ground... is there any significance to this? Its driving me nuts!

I have a question for all ya good pple about racial disharmony. I am of the opinion that we face racial disharmony because we are not honest with each other. We instead point accusing fingers in whispers & in private.

For example: I went to an Ivy Leage university which has majority caucasian kids but there were also Asian and Afro-American kids. Now, some black kids in the surrounding neighbourhood would come to campus & jack the white kids for cash and gear. That made a lot of white kids afraid of black men in general and, I being black & a foreigner, could understand their fear. But there are 2 problems here: 1) The black kids on campus remained quiet even as the white kids were attacked repeatedly. 2) The white kids did not speak out about their fear of ALL black men. They just avoided them like the plague.

This is one example, and I know that blacks (& other races) can cite examples that go the other way. But, for goodness sake, why do we tolerate this nonsense?

One or two workers are constantly trying to go against rules ecc. Problem is that they know that nothing can happen to them as the rules regarding the effects of eg indiscipline, have never been used before. Furthermore, all the staff know eachother well and have been together for years. Another problem is that the person who is supposedly next high up, works in another office and, though he knows about all this, has repeatedly shown that he does not want to take drastic action. This leaves the person in charge of and in contact with these workers, in a dilemma.

I'm going crazy with the stuff that piles up that my husband can't bear to part with...cuz I'm going to use it someday. Are there any cures? What makes a person have to save everything a garage can hold, the basement can hold, and now he's worming his way into the home office? It is starting to make me ill and the stuff isn't easy to get to not to mention all the extra clutter.....tons of books, tools, finds along the road, computer stuff, tapes and dvd's, ratty clothes, and on and on! I never see him get rid of things that he has replaced with a better item. I'm constantly getting rid of my clutter that I roll over when I find something better or it just needs replaced.

My grandma talks in her sleep often. Sometimes it is so bad that it wakes her up. But when we ask her about it she says shes not really sleeping she is "just about to dose off". For example when we were on our flight yesterday from florida she looked like she was sleeping but then she started saying things and she woke up. Also when we try to wake her up she is such a "heavy sleep" that she doesn't wak uo. This is not a serious question but I would like to know and so would my grandma, so no dumg answers please.
