Why does America (White America, neoconservatives and the Republican Party) slam RAP music so much when Rock music is filled with demonic, satanic symbology.
I can think of hundreds of examples but for now I'll just mention DISTURBED, DROWNING POOL and gruge rock such as GWAR.

Rap music doesn't have people going out and tatooing all types of psychotic **** on themselves and killing animals or doing retarded things.

Rap and gang violence are not the same thing. Rap doesn't force people to kill anyone - the scoi-economic conditions that those individuals are living in plays the majority role in that. YOU CAN NO MORE CLAIM RAP CAUSES VIOLENCE THAN YOU CAN CLAIM VIDEO GAMES CAUSE VIOLENCE.

I'm a White Male and I love rap. I notice that all its detractors are solidly White, OLD and right wing.
One day I was in my car and a racist White asshole called me a "w!gger" - it made me angry cause I don't normally experience anti-back racism directed at myself.

On the first date, I usually find out what the guy is all about.

1. Does he drink (excessively), do drugs, smoke?
2. Does he have a string of women, been Unfaithful?
3. Is he abusive, violent, controlling, or manipulative/mental?
4. Does he place family first and foremost?
5. What is his childhood background and family relationship like?

If he answers "yes" to any of the 3 above, I run as fast as I can.
If he isn't into those things, then Questions 4 and 5 come into play, and if he is kind hearted, simple, and good, which is a rare find these days, then yes there are more dates to come.

Girls, I hope this doesn't sound critical or demeaning but is this the way you make judgments on a man during the first date?

I do it in a polite jokingly way when I get to know him. It is not all in seriousness.

Example: I'll say I drink Vodka on the rocks, and he'll start ordering for me and him and then it turns into 4 drinks for him. That is my warning to leave pronto.

Ok, funky relationship here. Our official title is 'dating' but we've been together for 1.5 years. I have a daughter from prev. relationship. I'm mid 30s, she's mid 20s. She's worried about locking in to a relationship before having a chance to do her thing (school, career, perhaps dating as well). However, when I attempt to define our relationship with terms like commitment, etc. she pushes back. When I step back, she steps closer. She stays at my house all the time, calls me terms of endearment, takes me to family functions, etc. She never cheated, but has gone out a few times. Guys I don't know call her sometimes, but she's ALWAYS with me. Occasionally she'll go out. Now, she started a new semester at school. I get the feeling she likes to attract guys, but not to close the deal, just for ego boost or whatever. I just don't like it. She's been wearing perfume and makeup to class, something she doesn't normally do. Sometimes I just wonder why. Any help out there?

I don't understand anything brilliant that happens is soon followed by something pretty awful. It's like I'm expecting it because it's just a chain of events that are certain to happen. I'm really sick of it happening. WHHHHYYYY????

MY father is a hard-nosed person .He always argue about everything and he expects everybody confirm him.We can't always confirm because sometimes he is very wrong.Until now we have tested many techniqes such as to avoid argueing ,trying to make him understand his mistake and etc.But unfortunately when we want to correct him ,it makes him angry and he thinks that we don't act respectfully. So I need a practical and good way to solve this problen without annoying my father.

thank you all

Yesterday I felt enormous gratitude from helping one of my fellow aikido students. Over the last few weeks I had helped him prepare for his grading test. The guy did so good that the teacher said it was the best test he'd ever seen for a first grade. I think I felt just as overwhelmed with joy as he did seeing my pupil do so well. When was the last time this happened to you and how did it happen?
