You dont hear of many people getting into fights or car accidents (like alcohol) or stealing to get high or dying from a heart attack (coke, crack, meth, herione) beacuse they are high from marijuana. So, i say legalize marijuana, the country can control it then. Keep the others illegal.

It is close to true that everyone everywhere is on some drug or another, we just don't want to admit it. Sugar, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, weed, chocolate, etc. Making some ok and others not is a cultural choice and ill-advised. Making drugs illegal drives the price up and forces the police to become clergymen with guns, interfering with the things they really need to do. Further, the court system becomes clogged and broken down while having to deal with peoples personal choices. The cost of all this is staggering financially and personally. Interesting to note that most of the worst drugs around are caused by the "war on drugs" as they are illegal and therefore expensive and profitable to make. If meth was legal and cheap noone would make it. I think much of this stems from the powers that be being frightened by mind enhancing drugs which caused the youth of this country to say "hell no we won't go" to the war in Vietnam, and question what was going on in the world. Legalize all drugs and most of these difficulties would go away.

Heck yeah! Legalize ALL drugs, make the government standardize them, tax them, and make them readily available.

Warn everyone beforehand when it's going to happen so we can stay off the streets for a few days, and let Darwinism take its course as the jerk-offs all overdose themselves into oblivion.

I'm sure we'd get rid of a LOT of weak, worthless people that way, and create new jobs for the Body Cleanup Crew!

i think marijuana should be legalized. it would be easy to control, the government could levy a tax on it and make some money, AND it would save the goverment money by not using civic resources to prosecute people for it. it would create jobs for people to farm it, package it and distribute it. there is potential for a lot of good to come from legalizing it. i think if the right laws were applied to it, it could be good for everyone. hell the only reason its illegal in the first place is because hemp was too great a competition for the rope manufacturers way back when. its not illegal because its considered a "drug". funny isnt it?? Shrooms should be legal too. basically i think anything man-made should stay illegal. anything natural should be allowed.

Kristinj78 has it right. I've seen men go into blind rages on a fifth of whiskey (totally legal) , but I've never seen someone do the same on pot, unless they were highly agitated before becoming intoxicated on the pot. Pot does mess with your emotions and can exacerbate mental disorders, but alcohol does the same and impairs judgment and motor coordination far more than pot does. If pot is legal, it can be taxed for all the people who buy it, not just taxed for the few who get caught in possession.

NO, even class c drugs are very dangerous, both socially and health wise and they are certainly a stepping stone to harder drugs. Folk need to learn to admire and appreciate this beautiful planet with a fresh, clear mind. Look after your brain, it's the most wonderful gift you will ever be given.

The should remove marijuna from the class 1 narcotic list, this does not "legalize" it. It WOULD allow legitimate researchers to have access to reseach it's effects on the cannaboid receptors for non narcotic pain killers and appetite supressants.

Class 1 narcotics are defined as chemicals that have no possible therapeutic value, when it has been shown that cannibis does, and thus does not belong on that list.

They all should be. I think people wouldn't use drugs as much if the government would let them.

I think that when people are prohibited from doing something it makes them want to do it even more.

Codeine in weak concentrations, some antibiotics and a few other prescription drugs should be legalized, but illegal street drugs should remain illegal. They should put a lot more money into helping finance rehab clinics.
