I love doing this, as there are so many interesting people to look at.

How about you? Do you have an interesting story to tell?

I love going anywhere to watch people. My husband, brother, and I went to Chastain Park to hear Joe Walsh and Roger McGuinn play last week. We obviously had no interest in the music, but my dad really wanted to go and REALLY wanted us all to go with him. So we did, and I just have to tell you that I have never see so many people who did not age well. All these 50 and 60 somethings were dressed like they were still in their 20s; they acted like they were still in their 20s as well. It freaked me out to see people older than my parents getting stoned and passing the joint on down the line to people they had never met. But, at the same time, I was secretly hopeful that I would be that young of spirit in 30 years!

I don't like doing that because it creeps me out and there are way too many people there. My previous teacher does that and he was just talking in class one day about how he loves to see people's reactions. Like when he can't find his wife in the department store, he would make an obscene bird noise as if it was like a mating call and his wife would get really embarrassed and mad... meanwhile, everyone would be looking around, trying to find who did that... Pretty funny stuff...

Oh yeah, here's something even funnier. He likes to walk funny, so that his left hand moves with his left leg and his right hand moves with his right leg and he just walks like that down the mall and then once again he embarasses his wife and she gets kinda mad at him but people would stare at him funny because it's so unnatural. lol. If you are a people gazer, you should definitely try to do that, because people will give you the weirdest looks if you do that in a busy crowd...

Well I hope you enjoyed that! You should try it!!!

:)

I love doing this - I'm an artist, and sometimes to relax, I go to any public place, and I draw the people I see. I don't sell the drawings, nor do I even show them. I just draw who I see. Malls, fast food places, park benches, anywhere. I started to see the world the way that cartoonists see it - one big caricature. I began to see cartoon characters instead of people. I saw these stories playing out in right in front of me.

My dad and I used to sit in a spot on the boardwalk at Atlantic City and watch the world go by. (This was before all the gambling...probably 44 (gulp!) years ago.) Once , as we sat there, along came my precious little mommy, eating popcorn from a bag and watching "Mr. Peanut Man" walking around. (You know, a guy in a costume advertising for peanuts.) We let her know we were there, and she came over to us,never taking her eyes off the Peanut Guy. She said, in her sweet, innocent voice,"Fred,do you think that's a man in a costume?" Dad replied: "No. I think it is a giant peanut that likes to walk on the boardwalk." She looked at us and we all three started laughing. (You can not imagine how much I love my parents. As they grew old, I took care of them. I was with each of them, first mom, and a year later,Daddy, when they breathed their final air. It was so sacred.)

I don't really have any interesting stories that I'd like to share, but I wanted to say that people-watching is usually really good at bars and strip clubs, too.

I like to watch people all the time, mall, walmart every where. Just as good as the zoo.

When you go to the mall, do you feel like people are also fascinated by watching you watch them?

I like watching how everyone always turns and stares when someone with some wacky outfit walks by. I like making fun of the teenagers who act like they're tough sh**
