It seems to me that what we used to learn at home is no longer taught at home. When we were kids our parents would have kicked our butts into next year if we had behaved the way kids do now days. None of them say please or thank you, or excuse me. Just basic manners are non exsistant in kids today. If parents are not going to teach the kids proper behavior, why could it not be a required class at school. I know there are some that will say there are a lot more important things they need in school. But it would be nice if kids could go out into the real world with some idea of how to function properly and respectfully. Don't you think?

Do they mean something specific where you can read in a book the exact meaning, are they problems we can't resolve in a daily life (and nightmares the mind wanting us to confront our worst fears), predictions of the future, things that happened in the past, your imagination running wild or just silly thoughts in your head?
I have heard all these explanations.
What do you think about dreams?

Every time I knew or knew of a woman that was getting married it always tended to make them into little self obsorbed monsters. It doesn't really matter if they were very kind giving people before or just outright creeps, they tend to act the same. Why?

I have a hard time trusting people,so it takes a while for me to. But after 6 months to a year, when people I meet get know me and me them. I start to trust them. Just when I do,things change too fast for me. The people that I know change in ways like this:

Only care about themselves (school, job and money,etc...)
Only care about the items. IE: Cars,etc...
Don't communicate as much anymore (Telephone,Snail Mail,E-mail,IMing,etc...)
Start to have additude/mentality of "only myself,I and me".

I understand I know and the world has a right to improve themselves like going to school or going to work, being a relationship,etc... But it never seems to end and keep on happening over, over again when from one group or another that I go to.

If you are a man and don't want to date a materialistic woman, then why oh why do you wear clothes, the latest sneakers, fake shiny watches and other expensive looking items trying to impress women?
Why do men think that showing off money is going to attract worthwhile women who aren't gold diggers?

At least thats the case with me, in my dreams I always see myself as a "character" in the dream, I'm not looking out of my own eyes at other people like I do in real life. It's kind of the "out of body" experience people describe when they have a near death experience.

What I mean to say is, it appears to be that all living things all are evolving \ improving \ becoming more complex until they eventually achieve a state so advanced that they can rejoin back with the power\creator that created it. This is what has been seen in nature since recorded time. It seems like such a logical progression actually. Eventually everything must evolve to a point where it can join with the creator\the power that started it all. Maybe we are all a part of the creator all trying to find our way back to the top of the chain again and the top level learns from all our experiences and then creates a new BIG BANG to start it all over again, with slightly changed objectives. I find this fascinating to think about. Comments?

Tell me if you achieved it - whatever your loss and how you did or did not achieve some sort of closure. Does one actually ever get over something truly traumatic (rape, death, heartbreak etc...)?

After perusing the "Answers" area of Yahoo, I have never been more worried about the state of our nation. Is our educational system that bad? Are people really that apathetic that they choose to stop learning? I checked several areas, and while I'm no genius myself, I was appalled to see some of the questions and the correct answer only 1 in 15 times. And we are talking really basic stuff here. Do Photons have mass? How old is the earth? Will antifreeze kill my dog. Several Askers even picked incorrect answers as their best answer. I have seen incorrect answers in other forums as well, but this appears to be appealing to the lowest common denominator or the human race and I fear that they are spreading the mis-information to the masses, effectivly dumbing down the population.

So many people think that people in general, humans, are such terrible, greedy creatures, but I don't think this is so.

What is your favorite thing about people?

Personally, I love how people make art out of anything possible, even wind.
