Every time I knew or knew of a woman that was getting married it always tended to make them into little self obsorbed monsters. It doesn't really matter if they were very kind giving people before or just outright creeps, they tend to act the same. Why?

Probably they are focusing WAY too much on the wedding (which lasts one day) and not on the marriage (which lasts hopefully forever).

I think I was a very relaxed bride, except for one day when I had this stupid argument with my fiance over wedding favours, would you believe? After that I just ordered everything off the Internet and didn't ask for any more opinions.

Try putting yourself in their shoes for once and take care of the million and one details that go into planning a wedding! It is the woman who usual has to do this and the man gets off easy. The groom to be can go run around with his buddies while the woman has to attend to not only all the details, but all the know-it-alls who are giving her advice uncalled for.
She will return to normal once it is all over. Give her some credit, will ya?

Because planning a wedding is a nightmare of logistics that no one should attempt!

Actually, I'd say being self-absorbed is probably the best way to go about it. When you're planning a wedding, everyone in the world wants to inject their opinion, and many of them are relentless about it. If you don't firmly hold your ground, your wedding won't be an event you'd want to attend, much less something you'll be happy to pay thousands of dollars for.

You probably won't see them as being so self-absorbed if you put yourself in their shoes and realize just what this event is costing them, and how many people are trying to take it over. Personally I consider it an act of heroic self-control that I didn't kill my ex-mother-in-law in the weeks before my first wedding!

Because the most important day of her life is very difficult to plan and she wants everything to be her way. It is her day the day she has waited her whole life for. Give em a break they are almost married and don't really mean to be self-absorbed b*tches that's just what happens when you spend months planning one day that is all about the rest of your life. They usually return to the person they were after the wedding so just cut them some slack.

Maybe because it's that fairytale fancy come true that most girls have been fed since they could play with dolls. Most women do go into overdrive because the wedding day has turned into being all about the woman an not the couple.

Since the wedding, for the most part, is up to them and there are 10,000 little details and never enough time to do it, you'd go bonkers, too.
