Try drinking some water or herbal tea. no caffeine. sounds like you may be a little dehydrated. water is NECESSARY for normal bowel function. Most people are consistently dehydrated due to coffee and tea consumption. and are not even aware of it. Usually if you are unable to pass gas, you are dehydrated. (There is always the possibility of a blockage. If these rememdies do not work in 24 hrs. you need to seek medical help.) The hot bath/soak helps to reduce the pressure (shrinks the gas bubbles, also for relief try lying down.) Gas x can help, or its generic (simethicone).

I avoid doing either one audibly. They're equally rude, and in either case you should certainly asked to be excused for your lack of self-control.

Unless you're a guy, and you're in a group of other guys....then just let it rip and brag about the accomplishment.

either excuse me or "safety" in that case, if someone says doorknob before you say safety, you have to touch a doorknob. and between the time they say doorknob and you touch one, they get to punch you! at least that's how it goes with my brothers........
