What determines whether a bird species, normally transient, by nature, say canada geese or seagulls, will decide to stay in the north instead of flying south. Simply an adaquate food supply doesn't seem to address the issue completely. Some seem to be staying generationally while others of the same species do in fact fly to wintering grounds.

From pictures I've seen, it looks like they only have 2 front fins that are more developed and leg-like. So do they just kind of slither along, pushing off with those two puny fins? Or is their body muscles helping them move too, similar to how a snake slithers?

Any videos available of a walking fish in action, "walking" on land? I'm really intrigued. Thanks!

Formulate the indicated conclusion in nontechnical terms. Be sure to address the original claim. An entomologist writes an article in a scientific journal which claims that fewer than 14 in ten thousand male fireflies are unable to produce light due to a genetic mutation. Assuming that a hypothesis test of the claim has been conducted and that the conclusion is to reject the null hypothesis, state the conclusion in nontechnical terms. Answer choices are below: A) There is not sufficient evidence to support the claim that the true proportion is greater than 14 in ten thousand. B) There is not sufficient evidence to support the claim that the true proportion is less than 14 in ten thousand. C) There is sufficient evidence to support the claim that the true proportion is greater than 14 in ten thousand. D) There is sufficient evidence to support the claim that the true proportion is less than 14 in ten thousand.

thre are other wild forms of poultry, and there are now more chickens than people in the world, but are there any wild ones left? or have humans farmed them all (the prospect is sickening if true).
As a side question, would they have evolved flight by now if we didnt farm them and took away the need for them to, because now that they live in cages with protection from predators thay dont need to learn how to become faster or fly do they?

The arctic winters have been known to turn bitterly cold for long stretches. In some rare cases, the extended cold will freeze the ice pack so thick that the Eskimos (rednecks of the great white north) cannot hunt or fish.

When this happens, the Eskimos face life-threatening situations. Scientists have been baffled by the discovery that Eskimos will die of starvation instead of eating penguin eggs to stay alive.
