Looking for the scientific name of a person who can not bring harm to any living creature, even a fly, spider etc... I saw the term once but have been unable to find it again.

Should animals like this be kept in captivity? I heard that killer whales can live up to 100 years old but half of the ones in captivity at Sea World have died within 1 decade.... what is your view?

If it's a process of evolution, then surely retractable claws would be great for all beings. Gills would be useful, I could make great use of wings too. Why hasn't a being evolved with all of the good things?

On 11/29/06 the captive Killer Whales at Seaworld struck another blow at their oppressors by attacking and almost killing a trainer/guard holding them captive. Should this example be followed by other Killer Whales held against their will? Should the trainer expect to be almost killed by a "Killer" Whale?

Which species can inter-breed? Everyone knows that when horses mate donkeys they produce mules but are there any other examples? Also, are their offspring always sterile?

I was at a quiz last night, the question was: What is the worlds largest mammal.

I answered blue whale, apparently I was wrong and the answer is giraffe? I dispute this though, as a blue whales Tongue alone is the same size as an elephant?

Surely HEIGHT wise a giraffe is smaller than a whale? I know the whale is extremely long, but on land a whale would be taller than the giraffe? What you think?

Take the example of a pigeon, eating a few grams of seeds. Are the calories sufficient to fuel the bird to fly for kilomtres ?
Could there be another mechanism helping birds to fly ? and the wings only provide steering ?
After all, the birds are decendents of dinosours ?
They have been physically evolving the longest among other species !

I need a list of birds with their evolution date next to them. This can just be a list of UK birds for now, but if you have one for all birds that would be great!

If anyone can push me the right way for finding such document that would be most welcome.

I think I'd rather drift with a white. It is a taste tester and prefers fatty meals like seals & sea-lions.A crocodile is careless to sparing any mercy & doesn't have any time for testing. The great whites teeth are sharper but the crocs bite is 5 times the force.

For example, birds molt in spring and fall. Dogs shedding fur, etc. I'm looking for a detailed answer besides "cold weather". Are there other factors such as light exposure, barometric pressure, etc.
