I need a list of birds with their evolution date next to them. This can just be a list of UK birds for now, but if you have one for all birds that would be great!

If anyone can push me the right way for finding such document that would be most welcome.

Or is there a order of birds from when they were discovered?

I'm not sure that any such list has been produced. Some of the key evolutionary dates in bird origins are given in Pat Shipman's book "Taking Wing".

Various books on evolution indicate dates of some of the main groups; perhaps you could compile such a list from them?

have no idea. evolution is and always will be a process and there are so many types and species its dificult to determine when they came into being what we see them as today. i did find a link to a book and and there is a very interesting synopsis. check it out

Evolution is an ongoing process. They didn't just suddenly change from being one thing to another.

I think you may be confusing real life with Pokemon.
Evolution is a continuous process in real life.
