Depends on the species, but the Eastern Diamondback is the biggest and the record is 96 in. (8 ft.) and 35 lbs.

There are ones here in Nevada that grow up to about 7 feet long or so. Some mighty big suckers.

i think they can grow huge. one time i was watching the discovery channel and the snake grew about ten feet long also it had a lot of spines and teeth.
