The insect seems to have one set of wings covered by a pair of dark orange cases. The Orange extends a little bit onto the shoulders. Two variations of the insect have appeared (male and female?). One is 7mm long with an all black body. The other is 12mm long with an lighter orange abdomen. They have six long legs (a bit like a mosquito) and feathered antennae. They have small eyes and I can't any proboscis. On both the abdomen tapers to a blunt point, but hte larger of the two has what looks like an ovipositor or a sting.
Does anyone know what they are?

All mammals are supposed to have some kind of hair or fur, and marine mammals lost it because they're more streamlined without it, but why did naked mole rates lose their fur? How are they better off without it?

Looking in my garden it appears to be that the larger the spider is, the larger the gaps are in their webs. Is this because they cannot make webs with strands close to each other due to their size, or is it because they do not want to catch smaller prey and expend unnecessary energy?

i'm not just talking about saving the almost extinct species and allowing people to see them upclose in a safe environment without having to go to a dangerous safari & learning more about animals but do you think that newborn wild animals are being deprived of their natural survival abilities of being a wild animal that normally hunt for their own food and learn what it's really like to freely be a "wild" animal in the open spaces of their natural environment?do you think that zoo animals are spoiled?do you think that they are being treated well from what you've seen?do you think that they are just being exploited for money and not properly cared for? do you think that they have enough roaming space?or do you think that overall,it's great? why or why not.from a zoo animal's perspective, how do you think they feel or see humans?since animals cannot talk, can you still tell from their other expressions how they feelno links/outside sources.describe thoughts/opinions in your own words only.
