This was the coldest summmer since 1911 in the US. All politics/causes aside, could this be due to global warming? Can you have seasons like this and still have a global rise in temps?

Two bad snowstorms that I remember hit on these days:
Christmas Eve 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio 8-12 inches
December 22, 2004 in Cincinnati, Ohio a foot and -3 degrees
The worst part of the second date was the cold. Based on my experience, I would say that this happens every 3-5 years in Cleveland and maybe every 6-9 years in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I have observed that at times planes fly and the white stuff disappears right away; others times it lingers for a very long time and fills the sky. Sometimes planes leave a checkered pattern. What is this????

will it lower the temperature of the air? I know that areas of land around large bodies of water stay cooler, simply because water can absorb large amounts of heat without changing temperature. So by leaving bowls of water around the house in the morning, will this decrease the temperature in the house significantly later in the day, as it heats up?
I know there are probably calculations I could do as well, if anyone knows them....
thanks!

I'll be in Destin for the Labor day weekend and was just wondering how the weather has been. The weather forecast says that it'll be thunderstorming all weekend, but I know that sometimes the storms just come either in the early morning or late at night and not during the day. At least in Georgia this past week anyway. I know the weather's always unpredictable, but I'd just like an idea of how it's gonna be like so that I can be more prepared. Thank you!

For those of you who read my previous question, please forgive my use of "square yard" rather than "cubic yard"...it's early. My question regarding how much water is in an average cumulus nimbus cloud assumes that most cumulus nimbus clouds will have a similar moisture density because they have similar visual characteristic. I realize that size of clouds vary. But I am interested in how much water is in a given area of a cumulus nimbus cloud and how that is measured. If it has not ever been, or can not be measured, why not?
