For every 300 feet of ascent the temperature drops 1 ,An Alpine resort is 2400 feet above sea level . If the temperature recorded at the base of the moutain is 52 what would be the temperature at the resort?

Have just finished reading a 1980's glod bless america action book.... where the bad guys ( russians) use super sonic fighters to drop "stuff" into the jet stream over Kamchaka... that is carried by the wind, then detonated by remote control to provoke horrible snow storms, tornados and the like.... thus plunging america into finacial ruin.... because no food.....
I know it is vaugley possible to provoke rain by seeding the clouds with "something nitrate" But could the above senario be wildly possible ? Seeing all the catastrophic storms that are ravaging the USA for the moment.
Maybe its not global warming at at all...just those sneeky Ruskkies again..... or the Chinese or maybe even the Dim sung 111 north coreans...... they've all got rockets and stuff.

What is former VP Gore saying about the cold we have in the east? Snow, tornados and record cold isn't doing his "Global Warming" threats any good. Do people still pay $500 to hear him talk about GLOBAL WARMING when they have to go outside and put on their snow tires?

My teacher is a douche bag. We have these fill in the blank quizes online to take for my oceanography class and the answers have to match exactly or they show up as wrong. I have already tried:

west, western, westerly, left, east, eastern, easterly, right, north, south, northern, southern, north west, south west and all of them show up as wrong.

I live in central georgia and last night the news station was calling tornado warning after warning for mostly all counties in Georgia the weather man stated that the same storm cell that produce the tornadoes in missiouri, alabama,mississippi ,also georgia and i was wondering how does the same cloud produce multiple tornadoes it was like a tornado was on the ground and another was forming why is that?

I live smack dab in the middle of tornado alley, and over the past few years I've become very interested in severe weather but mainly tornadoes. I'd love to find a site that could tell me what they are anticipating for this year's tornado season. Anyone have a good site? Thanks!
