For every 300 feet of ascent the temperature drops 1 ,An Alpine resort is 2400 feet above sea level . If the temperature recorded at the base of the moutain is 52 what would be the temperature at the resort?

2400/300 = 8

52 - 8 = 44

Since the resort is at 2400 feet you have 2400/300 = 8 degrees drop in temperature; therefore the temperature at the top is 52 - 8= 44º

the resort would be 2400/300 = 8 degrees lower than 52.
