When I study photos of lightning the main trunk has branches that shoot upward toward the clouds, suggesting to me that the main direction is upward. Otherwise these little branches are converging to form one main trunck, and that seems contrary to the laws of physics as I understand them. please enlighten me (pun intended)

I think that the word is mad...... there are a lot of tornado that I've never seen and the weather is so strange. For instance in Italy, in particular in Rome the winter hasn't arrived yet.
There is a global warming and the temperature is strange, it's mad, like the world.......can you say me your point of view about that?
We have to be afraid?I think yes.

I live in California, USA. the weather over here I can say that crazy or perfect because sometime it is super hot it cause burn mountians be a huge fire and sometime it is super cold and snow at the mountians they are all white. But the weather is perfect at the beach it is always cool and nice with the clear blue sky and sunshine..... For my Answer I like cool everyday it about 75 degree.............

yesterday - tues 6 march - i watched the weather on sky news around 1pm and i swear the clouds over wales formed a skull shape.
it was very creepy and i thought perhaps somebody was trying to tell us something about the region -> the sellafield nuclear plant for example?
