1) cold/warm front
2) jet stream location
3) snow/ice cover
4)fog
5)cloud cover

Long term:
1)(seasonal)short-wave radiation from sun
2)differences in longwave-absorbing particles (also known as greenhouse gases)

The fluctuations in temperature values may be due to the following:-
1)Sun's position
2)Prevailing winds
3)Cloud cover
4)Movement of pressure systems
5)Moisture content in the air
6)Land and sea distribution
7)Slope of the ground and
8) presence of snow or ice covering.
