In the midwestern states, what is the temperature that defines whether school is in session or not? The weather channel says that in my area it will be 1 degree farenheit with a -30 degree windchill. I would prefer more accurate answers rather than guesses. Thank you to all!

okay everyone in Milwaukee knows its been super cold out lately... like it was -10 degrees today...i have been hearin rumors that schools could be closed tomorrow for various reasons...busses not starting...busses breaking down...schools not wanting kids to have to wait for busses outside especially if the busses are running late because they break down...the question is...do you think we will have school tomorrow...i heard it will be -15 degrees normal temp with -39 degrees wind chill...

I was listening to Ozzy real loud last night, and I was driving down past dead man's curve on Lee Road, and I saw a set of Devil eyes out my passenger side window, they were red and floating. Is there someone playing a trick on me. No one else was in my truck. What does this mean ?

New international studies have shown that the average yearly temperature in Canada could increase by over 10C in the next 100 years! No more winters, lots of extra rainfall due to the weather pattern changes. But mostly NO MORE WINTER!! I, for one, can't wait!

Its time to get out of this state and find a new life somewhere else, these storms(hurricanes, tornadoes) most recent Lady Lake, FL are not even safe in Central Florida, like people once thought. Real estate prices should be dropping who wants to be around a high risk area like Florida?

It happens every time; when a tornado strikes, such as recently in Florida, mobile homes are always on the menu.. Of course regular homes are also frequent targets, but it's not a complete trip without a double wide or two.

Please provide a scientific answer in specific detail. This is just for my own curiosity... so I am looking for an in depth physics/mathematical explanation as to why heat rises above cold air?
