I would hope so.

I lived in Alaska and Wisconsin. I had more snow days in my first year in Wisconsin than I did in 6 years of school in Alaska.

When we had the -30+ cold snap in the mid 90's (1996 was it?), I was going to college in Milwaukee and we still had school (I remember a lot of people didn't show up because it was so cold, the antifreeze in cars was freezing and causing the cars to overheat as the coolent wasn't circulating in the engine)

14 below is nothing. I'd expect nothing more than to have indoor recess while at school.

I guess I'd expect a 2 hour delay maybe, but I'd fully anticipate having school.

Where do you live in Wisconsin? I live in Kaukauna, just north of Appleton. Many location throughout the state will have school reports stating whether or not school will be cancelled during these cold times. From what I can tell, school will only be cancelled if heavy snowfall render the roads impassable for travel or not. Your county should have updated reports in these cold conditions to determine if snowplows will be able to remove enough snow to allow for safe travel throughout the county. Check your local county highway department for further details. Also, call your local radio station to find out if they broadcast school cancellations, as most of them do. Hope that this helps. Have a great day!!
