It happens every time; when a tornado strikes, such as recently in Florida, mobile homes are always on the menu.. Of course regular homes are also frequent targets, but it's not a complete trip without a double wide or two.

A weak tornado can destroy a mobile home and hardly scratch a well built home. Mobile homes aren't always hit (sometimes nothing at all is hit) but when they are, the damage is always more severe. A tornado that would not have been deadly in a neighborhood of well built homes can kill a dozen in mobile homes...and those are the ones you hear about.

Mobile Homes arent anchroed to the ground such as regular houses. So if a tornado gets close, they are going to get sucked up by the tornado.

Tornadoes are wierd like that. Apparently they seem to destroy light things before heavy, so since you can sneeze and wipe out an entire nieghborhood of trailors, its seems sensible that they head there first.
